(436) Hundred and Seventy Pounds Current Money to him in hand paid by the said John Ray before the Ensealing and Delivery hereof the Receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath given granted Bargained Sold Aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these Presents doth give grant Bargain sell Alien enfeoff and confirm unto him the said John Ray his Heirs and Assigns forever all that Part of a Tract or Parcel of Land Lying and Being in Ann Arundel County aforesaid Called Bite the Biter the said Part Being Circumscribed within the following Metes and Bounds Beginning at the End of the fourth Course of the Original Tract called Bite the Biter and running thence North Sixty four Degrees West Sixteen Perches North Eighteen Degrees West thirteen perches North Eighty four Degrees West twenty Perches North Seventy three Degrees West twenty two Perches North fifty Degrees West Seventy four Perches North Seventy Perches North forty two Degrees East one hundred and fifty three Perches and an half Perch South forty three Degrees East one hundred and Seventy one Perches to the Dividing Line Between John Gaither's Part of the said Original Tract thence South thirty six Degrees West one hundred and Seventy one Perches and an half Perch to the Beginning Containing one hundred and Seventy five Acres More or Less To have and to hold the said Land and Premises with the Appurtenances unto him the said John Ray his Heirs and Assigns forever to and for the only proper use and Behoof of him the said John Ray his Heirs and Assigns forever and to and for no other use Intent or Purpose whatsoever according to the true Intent and Meaning hereof And the said Thomas Linthicumb doth further Covenant promise grant and agree to and with the said John Ray his Heirs and Assigns forever that he the aforesaid Thomas Linthicumb his Heirs and Assigns forever the before mentioned Land and Premises with the Appurtenances to him the said John Ray his Heirs and Assigns forever will forever hereafter warrant and defend from and against him the said Thomas Linthicumb his Heirs and Assigns forever or any Person or Persons Claiming by from or under him them or any of them In Witness whereof the said Thomas Linthicumb hath hereunto Set his Hand and Affixed his Seal the Day and year first above Written Signed Sealed and Delivered Thomas Linthicum (Seal) In the Presence of Sam.l Middleton Jn.o Duckett Ju On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Indorsed to wit Received August 25.th 1768 of the within Named John Ray the Sum of one hundred and Seventy Pounds Current Money it being the Consideration Money within Mentioned Witness Thomas Linthicum Reverdy Ghiselin Rob.t Couden Ann Arundel County sc.t August 25.th 1768 Then Came the within Named Thomas Linthicumb before us the Subscribers two of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for the County af.d and Acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premises therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within named John Ray his Heirs and Assigns forever accordingly |
