(264) within Instrument of writing to be their Act and Deed and the undivided Moiety of the Land & Appurtenances therein mentioned to be bargained and Sold to be the Right and Estate of the within named Thomas Hammond his heirs and Assigns forever and the said Rebecca being by me privately Examined apart from and out of the hearing of her said Husband did make and repeat such her acknowledgment as af.d and did also acknowledge and declare that She made her said Acknowledgement voluntarily and freely without being induced thereto by Fears or threats of or ill usage from her said husband or through Fear of his Displeasure according to the form of the Act of Assembly in Such Case made and provided Recorded the 22.d July 1767 Before J B Bordley 4½ sides Ex.d This Indenture made the seventh day of April in the seventh year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty seven Between the Right Honourable Frederick Lord Baltimore Baron of Baltimore in the Kingdom of Ireland Lord Proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon in America of the one part and the Reverend Bennett Allen of the Province of Maryland aforesaid Clerk of the other part Witnesseth that the said Frederick Lord Baltimore for and in Consideration of the sum of five shillings of Lawfull Money of Great Britain to him by the said Bennett Allen in hand well and truly paid the Receipt whereof he the said Frederick Lord Baltimore doth hereby Acknowledge Hath Bargained and sold and by these presents Doth Bargain and sell unto the said Bennett Allen his Executors Administrators and Assigns All that the Manor or reserved Land Tract or District of Land called Ann Arundell Manor in the County of Ann Arundel and Province of Maryland aforesaid and all and singular other the Manors or reserved Lands Tracts or Districts of Land usualy called Described or known by the Denomination of Manors of him the said Frederick Lord Baltimore situate lying and being in the said Province as well Cultivated as uncultivated in whatsoever Countys the same or any of them be situate or by whatsoever Names or Descriptions the same or any of them be called known or Described with their and every of their Rights Members and Appurtenances and all Messuages Edifices (Erections) |
