       and freely without being induced thereto by Fears or Threats of or ill usage from her said
       Husband or through Fear of his displeasure which acknowledgements were made on
       the day and year aforesaid according to the form of the Act of Assembly in Such Case
       made and provided before

                      This Indenture made this twenty Second Day of July in the year of
       our Lord Seventeen hundred and Sixty Seven  Between James Kelso of Ann Arundel County
       and Rebecca his wife of the one part and Thomas Hammond of Ann Arundel County of the
       other part witnesseth that the said James Kelso and Rebecca his wife for and in
       consideration of the Sum of five Shillings current money to them in hand paid by the
       said Thomas Hammond at or before the Sealing and Delivery of these Presents the
       Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged  Do and each of them Doth grant bargain
       and Sell unto him the said Thomas Hammond and his heirs one undivided moiety of
       all or any part of a tract or pacell of Land lying and being in Ann Arundel
       County af.d called Duck Cove (the whole of the said Tract containing three
       hundred and fifty Acres) which lies and is contained between a west north west line
       drawn from the beginning white oak of Wilsons Enlargement to Patapsco River and the
       true west North west Line of the said whole Tract called Duck Cove Together with one
       undivided Moiety of the Appurtenances to the same part belonging To have and to hold the
       Said undivided moiety of the said part of the Tract of Land af.d called Duck Cove with
       the said undivided moiety of the Appurtenances thereto belonging to him the said Thomas Hammond
       his heirs and Assigns to the only proper use and Behoof of him the said Thomas Hammond
       his Heirs and Assigns forever and to or for no other use Intent or purpose whatsoever  In
       Witness whereof the Parties to these presents have hereto Set their hands and Affixed
       their Seals the Day and year first above written                           James Kelso         (Seal)
       Signed Sealed and Delivered                                                      Rebeccah Kelso   (seal)
       in the presence of
                                     Reverdy Ghiselin, William Steuart

       On the Back of the Aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed viz.t

       Reced on the Day and year first within written of and from the within named Thomas
       Hammond the sum of five Shillings current money being the consideration within mentioned

       On the 22.d Day of July 1767 Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships provincial
