(214) Vanbebber of Charles Town in the County of Cecil and Province of Maryland Gentleman of the one part John Knight of the said county and Province Gentleman of the second part and Benjamin Rumsey of the said county and Province Attorney at Law of the third Part Witnesseth that the said Isaac Vanbebber for the Docking barring and cutting off all Estates Tail and Remainders in Tail and also all Manner of contingent Remainders of and in all that Two hundred and fifty five Acres of Plantable Land scituate lying and being in Cecil County in the Province aforesaid being part of a Tract of Land called Bohemia Mannor and contained within the lines following be the same more or less Beginning at a Red marked Oak in the Appoquiminy Path otherwise called the Old Mans Path and from thence running north thirty Degrees westerly twenty two perches north fifty four Degrees westerly twenty two Perches north thirty five Degrees westerly twenty four perches North forty two Degrees westerly thirty perches to an old Corner Hickory Standing by the Side of a Road then by a Line of marked Trees South Eighteen Degrees westerly one Hundred Perches to the head of a Branch and ^so^ a long the said Branch twenty two Degrees westerly forty Perches South forty two Degrees westerly Twenty eight perches South thirty Degrees westerly One hundred and forty perches South Twenty Eight Degrees westerly ninety perches south fifty Degrees westerly Seventy two Perches to an old Corner Black Oak standing by Bohemia River close by the creek side then up along Bohemia River aforesaid South seventy Eight Degrees Easterly forty Eight perches South Eighty two Degrees Easterly forty three Perches South Sixty four Degrees Easterly forty six perches north Eighty Degrees Easterly Sixty perches to the Middle of the Branch and from thence running north five Degrees Easterly along the Middle of the said Gutt or valley Eighteen Perches then north Twenty Eight Degrees Easterly Twenty Perches North twenty three Degrees Easterly twenty Perches north forty four Degrees Easterly Sixteen Perches north thirty Degrees Easterly thirty four perches to an indifferent large Red Oak with a broken Top marked with twelve notches standing at the Head of the said valley thence north Sixty Eight Degrees Easterly Twenty perches to a marked Hickory marked with twelve notches standing on the North Side of the Road that goeth from Bohemia Ferry to the Head of Bohemia and from thence north fourteen Degrees Easterly two hundred and fifty one perches to the first Beginning corner marked Oak and for the settling and assuring the same to and for the uses Intents and purposes hereinafter limited expressed and declared and in consideration of five Shillings to him in hand paid by the said John Knight the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and for diverse other good Causes and Considerations him the said Isaac in this Behalf moving hath granted bargained and sold released and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell release and confirm unto the said John Knight his his actual Possession |
