(21) doth for himself his heirs Executors & administrators covenant promise Grant and Agree to and with the said Daniel Stephenson his heirs and assigns ^that the aforesaid one hundred Forty five & one half acres of Land and every part and parcell thereof against all manner of persons whatsoever forever hereafter to warrant and defend and further the said Benjamin Duvall the third doth for himself his heirs executors & administrators defend for himself grant and agree to and^ that he the said Benjamin Duvall his heirs and assigns with the said Daniel Stephenson his heirs and assigns Shall and will from time to time and at all times hereafter at the reasonable request of and at the proper cost and charges in the Law of him the said Daniel Stephenson his heirs and Assigns do make acknowledge suffer and execute any further Deed or Instrument in writing such as the said Daniel Stephenson his heirs or assigns his or their Council Learned in the Law shall reasonably Devise advise or require for the further and better assurance Surety and sure making the Land & premisses aforesaid unto him the said Daniel Stephenson his heirs and Assigns forever In Witness whereof the said Benjamin Duvall the third hath hereunto set his hand & seal the day and year above written Signd Sealed & delivered In the Presence off Benj.a Duall 3.d (seal) Alex.r Symmer David Crauford On the Back of the Aforegoing Deed was thus written Viz.t October 31.st 1765 Received of Daniel Stephenson the sum of one hundred & forty five pounds Ten Shillings Currency being in full satisfaction and payment for the within Mentioned Land and Premisses Witness Alex.r Symmer Benj.a Duall 3.d David Crauford 1765 October 31.st Then came Benjamin Duvall the third party to the within deed before the Subscribers two of his Lordships Justices of the peace for Prince Georges County & acknowledged the within deed as his act & deed & the Lands & premisses to be the Right of the within Mentioned Daniel Stephenson & at the same time Ann the Wife to the Said Benjamin Duvall the third being /by us/ privately examined Acknowledged the within deed to be her act & deed & that she did it freely & Voluntarily without threats or fear of Getting her husband displeasure Alex.r Symmer David Crauford Received |
