       On the 19.th Day of July 1766 Came Edward Cheney before us two of his Lordships
       Justices of Ann Arundel County and province of Maryland and Acknowledged
       the within indenture to be his Act and Deed and the within Lands and premisses
       to be the Right and Estate of the within John Penn Cheney his heirs and
       Assigns for Ever
       Taken and Acknowledged before us               John Burgess Jun.r, H Ridgely
      
       Received the 14.th August 1766 of M.r John Penn Cheney Two Shillings sterling for
       the use of Lord Baltimore being the Alienation Fine on the within Land
       by Virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and
       Receiver General                                                               John Davidson

       This Indenture made this Sixth Day of September in the Year of our
       Lord Seventeen hundred and Sixty Six Between John Brice Esquire of the
       City of Annapolis in Ann Arundel County of the one part and John Brice
       Junior his Son of the said City and County of the other part Witnesseth
       That the said John Brice Esquire for and in consideration of the sum of five
       Shillings Sterling money of Great Britain to him in hand paid by the said
       John Brice Junior at or before the Sealing and Delivery of these presents the receipt
       whereof he the sid John Brice Esquire doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and
       therefrom doth release acquit and Discharge the said John Brice Junior his heirs
       Executors Administrators and Assigns he the said John Brice Esquire Hath
       bargained and sold And by these presents Doth bargain and Sell unto him
       the said John Brice Junior his heirs and Assigns All Those Several Tracts or
       parcells of Land and Lotts of Ground hereafter mentioned lying and being
       in the County aforesaid that is to say a Tract or parcel of Land called or known
       by the Name of Motherly Care Containing and Laid out for Three hundred
       and sixty Acres of Land more or Less one other Tract or parcel of Land
       called or known by the name of Cool Springs Containing and laid out for
       one hundred and Seventy three Acres of Land more or Less one Other Tract
       or parcel of Land called or known by the Name of Howards Addition containing
       and laid out for Twenty two and one half Acres of Land More or Less one other
       Tract or parcel of Land called or known by the Name of Cooley containing and
       laid out for Three hundred Eighty Two and one half Acres of Land more or Less
       Also four Lotts of Ground lying in the City of Annapolis aforesaid and by the
       survey thereof made by James Stoddart Esquire on the Twenty fifth Day of July
                                                                                                 (Seventeen)
