(131) seventeen hundred and eighteen Numbered Ninety, Ninety one One hundred and six and one hundred and seven Together with all Edifices Buildings Improvements Hereditaments Advantages and Appurtenances whatsoever to the said Tracts or parcels of Land and Lotts of Ground and each and every of them belonging or in any wise appertaining To have and to hold the said Tracts or Parcels of Land and Lotts of Ground and each and every of them and every part and parcel of them or any or either of them and Premisses with their each and every of their Rights Members and Appurtenances unto him the said John Brice Junior his heirs and Assigns to the only proper Use and Behoof of him the said John Brice Junior his heirs and assigns forever and to or for no other Use Intent or Purpose whatsoever In Witness whereof the Parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set their hands and affixed their seals the Day and Year first above written Signed Sealed & Delivered in the presence of Jn.o Brice (seal) Reverdy Ghiselin, W.m Steuart On The Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus written viz.t Received on the day and year first within written of and from the within named John Brice Junior the Sum of Five Shillings Sterling Money of Great Britain being the Consideration within mentioned to be by him paid to me I say reced by me Jn.o Brice Witness Reverdy Ghiselin, W.m Steuart September the Sixth day 1766 Then came John Brice Esquire before us two of his Lordships the Right Honourable the Lord proprietary his Justices of the Peace for Ann Arundel County and Acknowledged the within Instrument of writing to be his Act and Deed and the Tracts or parcels of Land and Lotts of Ground within mentioned and Premisses with the Appurtenances to be the Right and Estate of the within named John Brice Junior his heirs and assigns for ever according to the True intent and meaning of the same deed and the Act of Assembly in such case made and provided And at the same time came before us Sarah the wife of the said John Brice and being by us Examined a part from and out of the hearing of her said Husband did Acknowledge and Declare that She did release and by this her Acknowledgment did intend to release all her Right and Title of Dower of and to the Lands and Premisses within mentioned and that She did the same voluntarily and freely without any Threats or Compulsion from or by her said Husband or for fear of his Displeasure Reverdy Ghiselin, W.m Steuart (Received) |
