317 On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was written as follows February 4.th 1763 Then receivd of James Sewell the sum of Ten Pounds Silver Currency being the Consideration Money within mentioned John Prestidge Witness Ruxton Gay March 3.d 1763 Received of M.r James Sewell three pence three Farthings Sterlings for the use of the Lord Baltimore being the alienation Fine on the within Land by Virtue of a Commission from Edward Loyd Esq.r his said Lordships Agent & receiver General Benj.a Beall Recorded the 3.d day of March 1763 9 s.d Exam.d Know all men by these presents that I John Evans of Prince Georges County Maryland planter have made constituted and appointed and by these presents do make constitute ordain and appoint Philip Williams Carpenter and joyner of the City of Annapolis in the Province of Maryland my true and lawful attorney (irrevocable) for me and in my Name and for the use of the aforesaid Philip Williams to ask demand sue for recover and receive all such rents and arrearages of Rent which now or hereafter shall grow due from him the said Benjamin [illegible] of and from all these my Lands being a Tract |
