206 Be it Remembered that on the 25.th September Anno Domini 1762 before me the subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court of Maryland Personally appeared Bryan Philpot one of the attornies appointed by the forgoing Power of Attorney in Pursuance thereof acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be the Act & Deed of the within Named Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson and the Lands & Premisses therein Mentioned to be the Right & Estate of the within named Charles Hammond his Heirs and Assigns according to the true Intent & Meaning of the same Deed & the act of Assembly in such cases made & provided John Darnall Recorded the 25.th September 1762 20 sides Examined This Indenture made this sixteenth Day of April in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and sixty two Between Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson Surviving Assignees of John Philpot and John Hut^c^hinson late of London Bankrupts on the One Part and Thomas Rutland of Ann Arundel County in the Province of Maryland on the other Part Witnesseth that the said Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson for and in consideration of the sum of Five shillings sterling to them in hand paid by the said Thomas Rutland the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and for divers other good causes |
