       Philpot of Baltimore Town in Baltimore County in the
       Province of Maryland Merchant and Nicholas Maccubbin
       of Anne Arundel County in the Province aforesaid Gentleman
       and each of them for us and in our Names to Acknowledge the
       within Deed as the Act and Deed of us in such Manner and
       Form and to such Effect and Purpose as the Tenor of the said Deed
       and the Laws of the Province of Maryland shall or may render proper
       and requisite, to be done towards the Conveyance of the Fee simple
       Estate within mentioned to be Bargained Sold Released &c by us to
       the within named Charles Hammond his Heirs and Assigns for
       ever, Given under our Hands and seals this seventeenth day of
       April Anno Domini One Thousand seven hundred and sixty
       two/ having executed two others of the same tenor and Date
       Sealed and Delivered

                Maryland fs.t the 25.th September 1762   Then came
       Michael Macnemara one of the subscribing Witnesses to the
       Within Deed before me the subscriber one of the Provincial
       Judges of the Province of Maryland and made Oath on the
       Holy Evangelists of Almighty God, that he subscribed his Name
       as Witness to the Within Deed and that he saw Loyd Dulany
       the other subscribing Evidence sign his Name as Witness thereto
       at the same Time and that the said Deed was duly Executed
       in their Presence By the Parties within Mentioned
