177 Whereas a certain Thomas Hodgkin of Prince Georges County aforesaid in the Province of Maryland aforesaid did heretore Alien Sell Transfer or Mortgage unto John Philpot of London Merchant his Heirs and Assigns for ever amongst other things One Tract or Parcell of Plantable Land contained and circumscribed within Lines Courses Limits and Distances herein after Expressed being part of a Tract of Land called Brooke field joining on the North Eastward to the Land of Philip Lee Esq.r now deceased, Beginning at a pear Tree standing by the side of an old Indian Path, and Running thence as the said Path Runneth south seventy one Deg.rs West forty Perches, south sixty five Degrees West Twenty four Perches, south Forty seven Degrees West Thirty two perches, to a Bounded White Oak of the aforesaid Land of Philip Lee Esq.r and running thence with said Land North fifty two Degrees West sixty four Perches, to a Bounded White Oak in a Small branch thence with the Said Branch as the Branch runneth till it intersects the main branch of Mattapony of Brooks Creek, then down and with the said Main Branch as it runneth to the Mouth of a small Branch that divideth the Land formerly sold by Thomas Brooke Esq.r deceased to Robert Orme, and with the said Land to the beginning containing and laid out for one hundred and Nineteen Acres by the Same more or less And Whereas the aforesaid John Philpot |
