Exam.^d    This Indenture made the ningth Day
        of April            in the Year of our Lord one Thousand
        seven hundred and sixty two    Between John Buchanan
        of London Merchant of the one part and Ignatius Digges
        of                        Esquire  Whereas James Wardrop
        late of the Province of Maryland in America deceased did
        by Indentures of Lease and Release made and Dated on or
        about the first and second Days of August One thousand seven
        hundred and fifty four for the considerations therein respectively
        mentioned Grant Bargain Sell Assign Transfer Set over
        alien Remise Release and Confirm unto the said John Buchanan
        his Heirs Executors administrators and Assigns amongst other
        Lands Tenements Hereditaments and things    All that part
        of a Lot of Ground in upper Marlbro' on which stands the store
        lately possessed by John M.^cGruder with a Warehouse and
        old Dwelling House thereon the said Part of the said Lott to
        be divided from the other part by a line drawn from the street
        down through the whole Depth of the Lott Paralell to the
        North West Gable End of the store at the Distance of Eighteen
        feet from the said Gable, and the outside Brick Chimney
        being Included in the said eighteen feet with all Improvements
        on the said Lott or Piece of Ground whatever under & subject
 
                        Nevertheless to the several Trusts Conditions
        Provisoes and Covenants contained in the said
