came Thomas Sligh party
to the within Deed before
us the subscribers two Justices of the
Peace for Baltimore County,
and Acknowledged the same to be
his Act and Deed and the
parcel of Land thereby bargained and
sold, to be the Right, Title,
and Estate of the within mentioned
John Akers his Heirs and
Assigns for ever according to the
true intent and meaning
thereof Came also Ann Wife to
the said Thomas Sligh who
being by us Examined
out of her husbands hearing
acknowledged all her Right
of Dower to the said parcel
of Land, to be the Right of
& title of the said
John Akers his Heirs and Assigns and
declared she made such Acknowledgement
of her own
free and Voluntary Will
without being induced so to do
by threats or ill usage
of or from her said Husband
or through fear of his Displeasure
