(82) ensuing with Legal Interest for the Same and for Securing the Payment of the said sum of fifty Pounds Current Money with Interest the said James Dowten became bound to the said David Arnold in and by a certain Bond or Obligation bearing Date the Tenth day of August in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and fifty four in the Penal Sum of One hundred Pounds Current Money with condition there underwritten for the Payment of fifty Pounds Current Money at or upon the day of then next ensuing with Legal Interest for the same as by the said Several recited Bonds relation being to them had may more fully appear Now this Indenture Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the Said Sums of thirty eight Pounds Sixteen Shillings and five Pence Current Money and thirty three pound four shillings and nine pence Sterling do due and Owing to the said Charles Grahame and for and in consideration of the said Sum of Eighty One pounds and Six pence Current Money so due and Owing to the Said James Russell and for and in consideration of the sum of fifty pounds Current Money so due and Owing to the Said David Arnold by the said James Dowten as aforesaid the receipt whereof the said James Dowten doth hereby acknowledge and that the same is now justly due and Owing by him unto the said Charles Grahame James Russell and David Arnold severally and of and from the same and every part thereof doth exonerate and discharge the said Charles Grahame and David Arnold their Heirs Executors and Administrators for ever by these Presents And for the further and better securing the Payment thereof with Interest as aforesaid He the said James Dowten hath granted bargained Sold aliened and Confirmed And by these presents doth grant bargain Sell alien and Confirm unto the Said Charles Grahame and David Arnold their Heirs and Assigns All that Lott or Parcel of Land scituate in Lower Marlborough Town in Calvert County whereon he the said James Dowten now lives together with all the Buildings Edifices Erections Yards and Gardens thereof as the same are now Occupied and Used by him the said James Dowten with their and every of their Appurtenances and also One Mare two Horses One Steer two Cows One Heifer two Yearlings three feather Beds with the Bedsteads Blanketts Sheets Bolsters and Pillows thereto belonging five Tables twelve Chairs One Desk 1 Looking Glass one Cupboard one Back Gammon Table with its (appurtenances) |
