(81) other part Witnesseth that Whereas the said James Dowten upon the day of the Date of these Presents is justly indebted to the said Charles Grahame ^in^ the Sums of Thirty eight Pounds Sixteen shillings and five pence Current Money and thirty three Pounds four Shillings and Nine Pence Sterling to James Russell late of Prince Georges County but now of London Merchant in the Sum of Eighty One Pounds six pence Current Money and to the said David Arnold in the Sum of fifty Pounds Current Money for divers sums of Money Goods and Merchandizes really and bona fide advanced by the Said Charles Grahame James Russell and David Arnold to and for the use and at the Special Instance and request of the said James Dowten And Whereas for Securing the Payment of the said sums of thirty eight pounds sixteen shillings and five pence Current Money and thirty three pounds four Shillings and Nine Pence Sterling with Interest the said James Dowten became bound to the said Charles Grahame in and by his certain Bond or Obligation bearing Date the Second day of October in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and thirty four in the Penal Sum of Eleven Pounds twelve Shillings sterling with condition there under written for the Payment of five Pounds Sixteen Shillings sterling at or upon the Second day of April then next ensuing and also in and by his the said James Dowten's other Bond or Obligation bearing Date the twenty Second day of July in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and fifty eight in the Penal Sums of Seventy Seven Pounds twelve Shillings and ten Pence Current Money and fifty four pounds Seventeen Shillings and Six pence sterling with condition there under written for the Payment of thirty eight Pounds Sixteen Shillings and five pence Current Money and twenty Seven Pounds eight Shillings and Nine Pence Sterling at or upon at or upon the Last day of August then next ensuing with legal interest for the same and for securing the Payment of the said sum of Eighty one Pounds and sixpence Current Money with the Interest thereof the said James Dowten became bound with others to the said James Russell in and by a certain Bond or Obligation bearing Date the twentieth day of August in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and fifty one in the Penal Sum of One hundred fifty six pounds seven Shillings and one penny half penny Current Money of Maryland with condition there underwritten for the Payment of Seventy eight Pounds three Shillings six pence three farthings Current Money of Maryland together with the Cost of a Suit in Calvert County ^Court^ brought at the rate of Twenty Shillings PC.t for the Tobacco at or upon the first day of June then next (ensuing) |
