       Received of M.r Brice Thomas Beale Worthington one shilling and two pence
       half penny sterling for his Lordships use (it being the alienation fine on the
       within mentioned Land) by Virtue of a commission from Edward Lloyd Esquire
8½ sides  his Lordships Agent and Receiver General

Ex.d  This Indenture made the first day of August Anno Domini one thousand
       Seven hundred and fifty Nine between William Galaspey of Queen Ann's
       County Mariner of the One Part and James Tilghman of Talbot County Attorney
       at Law of the other Part Witnesseth that the said William Galespey for
       and in consideration of Five Shilings Current Money of Maryland to
       him in hand paid by the said James Tilghman at the Sealing and Delivery
       of these Present the Receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and of every
       part and Parcel thereof doth acquit and discharge the said James Tilghman his
       Heirs Executors and Administrators for ever by these Presents hath Bargained
       and Sold and by these Presents doth Bargain and and Sell unto the said
       James Tilghman all that part of a Tract of Land called Guilford Scituate
       lying and being in Queen Ann's County afd near the Branches of Corsica Creek
       Beginning at a bounded Oak and running South South West Two hundred
       and fifty Perches to the Branch and then East and by South Two hundred
       and Sixty Perches and then with a Streight Line to the first Tree containing
       Two hundred Acres of Land together with all Trees Woods Underwoods Houses
       Outhouses Commons Common of Pasture Profits Commodities Advantages
       Emoluments or Hereditaments whatsoever to the Premisses belonging or
       in any ways appertaining or in or upon the same Growing happening
       or arising and the reversion and reversions Remainder and Remainders
       thereof  To have and to hold all and Singular the Premisses with the
       appurtenances and every part of them unto the said James Tilghman
       his Executors Administrators and Assigns from the day before the Date
       hereof for and during the Term of one whole year from thence next
