513 x.d This Indenture made the Twenty fifth day of May in the year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and Twenty three and in the Eighth Year of the Dominion of the Right honorable Charles Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon and Lord Barron of Baltemore &.c Betwen Otho Holland of Pickawaxen Parrish in Wickocomiko Hundred in Charles County in the Province of Maryland ship carpenter of the one Part and Henry Bateman of S.t Anns Parrish in Middle Neck Hundred in Ann Arrundell County in the Province afforesaid Planter of the Other Part Wittnesseth that the said Otho Holland for and in consideration of the sume of Twenty six Pounds sterling Money of great Brittain to him in hand at and before ^the^ sealing and Deliverry of these Presents by the said Henry Bateman Well and truly Paid the Receipt Whereof the said Otho Holland doth hereby acknowledge himself therewith fully satisfyed and paid and thereof and of every Part and Parcell thereof doth clearly Acquitt Exonerate and Discharge the said Henry Bateman his Heires Executors and Administrators for ever By these Presents hath given Granted Aliened Bargained sold enfeofed and confirmed and by these presents doth fuly Clearly and Absolutely Give Grant Bargain sell Alien Enfeof and Confirm unto the said Henry Battman his heires and assignes for ever all that tract or Parcell of Land Lying and being on ^the^ north side of Patapseco River in Baltemore County in Petapseco Hundred in the Province aforsaid called Welches Adventure scituate Betwen Gwines and Jones falls of Petapseco River Beginning at a Bound White Oake standing at the |
