88 x.d This Indenture made the fourth day of February in the tenth year of the reigne of our sovereigne Lady Anne by the grace of God of Great Brittain France and Ireland Queen defender of the faith &c Annoq.r Dom 1711 Between W.m Holland of Ann Arundle County in the province of Maryland Esq.r of the one part and John Hodges of the Citty of Bristoll in the Kingdom of Great Brittaine Marriner of the other part Wittnesseth that the said W.m Holland as well for and in Consideration of the sume of five hundred pds sterling Currant mony of Great Brittain to him in hand paid by the said John Hodges at or before thensealing and Delivery of these presents the receipt whereof he the said William Holland doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and therefrom Doth acquit exonerate and discharge the said John Hodges his executors and ad.rs and every of them by these presents and for diverse other good Causes and Considerations him the said W.m Holland thereunto moveing hath demised granted bargained sold sett and to farm Letten and by these presents doth demise grant bargain sell sett and to farm Lett unto the said John Hodges All that tract or parcell of Land scituate Lying and being in Annarundle County afd Called Biggs Purchase being part of the Lord Proprietarys Mannor of Ann Arundle Beginning at a bounded Redd oak being the Northwest Corner tree of Samuell Thomas his Land runing thence south one hundred and eighty perches to a bounded Hiccory standing upon a point being another bounded tree of the said Sam.l Thomas his Land then west two hundred sixty seven perches to a bounded white oak then with a Continued west Line thirty perches then north one hundred and eighty perches then East thirty perches to a bounded hiccory then with a streight Line to the first bounder Containing three hundred thirty four acres more or Less And also all that other peece or parcell of Land Lying in Baltemore County in the province of Maryland afd Called Batchelors Good Luck Beginning at a bounded hiccory standing on a ridge respecting to the East a Pcell of Land Called Halls Rich Neck and running from the said Tree north by west two hundred and tenn pches to a bounded Gumb and white oak by the side of a Creek Called Deer Creek still on the said Course over the Creeke three hundred and fifteen perches then east by north three hundred and five perches then south by east five hundred twenty and five perces then to the first tree by a direct Line Containing one thousand Acres of Land more or Lesse Togeather with all and all manner of houses outhouses orchards gardens trees woods ways water Courses proffitts Comodities and appurtenances to the said two severall peeces or pcells of Land belonging or appertaining (Except and out of this present demise and grant always saved and reserved unto the said W.m Holland his heires and assignes all (such) |
