6 agree to and w.th the said Thomas Major and his heires that he the said Patrick Ogilvie shall and will now and at all times hereafter unto him the said Thomas Major the said Lott of Land and house theron standing with other the premises warrant and for ever defend against all persons whatsoever by these presents In Witness whereof the said parties have hereunto interchangeably set their hands and seales the day and yeare first above written Patrick Ogilvie (sealed) On the back of the aforegoing deed was thus endorst as foll.os Viz.t To Wornell Hunt Esq.r or to any other of the attorneys of the provinciall Court These are to impower and authorize you any or either of you to acknowledge the within deed for me and in my name according to an act of Assembly in such Cases made and provided and for your soe doing this shall be your warrant Given under my hand & seale this thirteenth day of September 1709 Patrick Ogilvie (seale) Sealed & delivered in y.e presence of Ann Noades Rob.t Hall at the foot of the said deed was thus Endorst Viz.t October 14.th 1709 Then Came into her Maj.tys Prov.ll Court before the Justices thereof Wornell Hunt Esq.r and by Virtue of the above Letter of attorney acknowledged the within deed to be the act and deed of the above named Patrick Ogilvie and the Lott & premises within Menconed to the within named Thomas Major his heires and assignes for ever according to Law Taken & acknowledged in Open Court Joh Beale Clk x.d This Indenture made the twenty second day of May in the 1710 ninth yeare of the reigne of our Sovereigne Lady Anne by the Grace of God of Great Brittaine France and Ireland Queen defender of the faith &c Annoq Dom 1710 Between Thomas Billingsley of Calvert County in the province of Maryland Gentl of the one part and George Parker of the County and province afd Gentl of the other part Whereas Cecilius late absolute Lord and propry of the province of the province of Maryland Avalon Lord Barron of Baltemore &c.a by his deed of Grant or pattent under the Great Seale of Maryland bearing date the five and twentieth day of August in the yeare of sixteen hundred fifty eight Did for the Consideracons therein menconed grant unto John James then of Calvert County afd all that percell of Land then Lying in Calvert County afd lying on the west side of Chesepeake bay next adjoyning to the Land then of Thomas Tolley Beginning at a marked Locust tree being y.e (southermost) (7) |
