5 date of these presents for the purposes therein menconed And this Deponant as a wittness to the sealing and delivery thereof did set and endorse his name thereon togeather with W.m Scorey Notary as thereby doth and may appear In faith and testimony whereof we the said Lord Mayor and Alderman have Caused the seale of the office of Mayoraltys of the said Citty of London to be hereunto put and affixed And the said Letter of attorney to be hereunto annexed Dated in London the second day of June Anno Dom 1702 and in the first yeare of the reigne of our Sovereigne Lady Anne Queen of England &c Ashhurst Seale of the Mayorallity recorded Septemb.r y.e 25.th 1710 2046 Maryland fs x.d This Indenture made the thirteenth day of September in the Eighth yeare of the reigne of our Sovereigne Lady Anne by the grace of God of Great Brittaine France and Ireland Queen defender of the faith &c.a Annoq Domini 1709 between Patrick Ogilvie of the Citty of Annap.o Gentl of the one part and Thomas Major of the Citty afd Chyrurgion of the other part Wittnesseth that he the said Patrick Ogilvie for and in Consideration of the sume of sixty pounds ster money to him in hand paid by the said Thomas Major at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents well & truly secured and paid the receipt whereof he the said Patrick Ogilvie doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and every part and pcell thereof doth hereby fully clearly and absolutely exonerate acquitt and for ever discharge him the s.d Thomas Major his heires executors and adm.rs by these presents Hath given granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed And by these presents doth for himself and his heires give grant bargaine sell alien enfeoff & confirme unto him the said Thomas Major all that Lott or pcell of Land lying in the Citty of Annapolis afd Called or known by the name of the sixty sixth Lott Beginning at a stake in the Line of a street called Shipurty Street and running thence north east sixteen perches to another stake then south east nine perches to another stake then south west sixteen perches to another stake And then with a streight Line to the first stake in the street containing one hundred forty four perches w.ch the said Patrick Ogilvie purchased of one Edward Mitchell Togeather with the now dwelling house standing and being upon the said Lott To have and to hold the said Lott of land and premises thereunto belonging unto him the said Thomas Major his heires and assignes for ever And to no other Use Intent or purpose whatsoever And the said Patrick Ogilvie doth hereby for himself and his heires covenant promise grant and agree to and w.th him the said Thomas Major and his heires that the above bargained Lott of Land & house thereon standing with other the premises are at the time of the ensealing and delivery of these presents cleare & free of and from all and all manner of incumbrances whatsoever and the said Patrick Ogilvie doth by these presents for him and his heires covenant promise grant and (agree) |
