x.d This Indenture made this eighteenth day of May in the
       Tenth year of the Reigne of her Maj.ty Queen Anne and the Year of
       our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eleven Between Mich.ll Curtis
       of S.t Maries County in the Province of Maryland in America Gentl
       and Sarah his wife formerly the wife of Justian Gerard late of the s.d County
       deced of the one part and Charles Carroll of Ann Arundell County
       in the said province Esq of the other part Wittnesseth that w.ras
       the said Mich.ll Curtis and the said Sarah his wife signd now
       seized in fee simple of and in the srall manners lands and Tenements
       with the appurtenances thereunto belonging herein after specified
       Viz.t of and in a Certaine Mann.r of Land Called S.t Clements mannour
       Cont.a about eleven thousand acres of Land more or Less lying in the s.d
       County of S.t Maries of and in another Manner of Land Lying in the s.d
       County of S.t Maries Called Bashford Manner and Cont.a about fifteen
       hundred acres more or Less and of and in another Manner of
       Land heretofore Lying in the said County of S.t Maries but now in
       Charles County Called Westwood Mannour and Cont.a abt sixteen
       hundred acres of Land more or Less as also of and in severall other
       Lands and parcells of Land in the Collony of Virginia and particularly
       of and in Two tracts Lying in Westmoreland County in the Collony
       of Virginia and particularly of and in two tracts Lying in Westmoreland
       County in the Collony of Virginia afd the one whereof was
       formerly in the poss.n and occupation of a Certaine James Reynolds
       the other a tract of Land thereunto adjoyning formerly in the
       poss.n Tenure or occup.a of a Cert.a Will Manders all w.ch Manners
       Lands Tenem.ts and hereditam.ts the said Justinian Gerard either by deed
       executed in his Life or by his Last will and Testam.t in Wrighting or both
       settled Vested and Confirmed unto his s.d wife Sarah party to these p.rsents
       Now therefore this Indenture witnesseth
       that the said Mich.l Curtiss and Sarah his wife for and in Considera.n
       of the sume of six hundred pounds sterll to them in hand
       paid the receipt whereof they doe hereby acknowledge and
       therewith Confess Themselves satisfied Contented and paid have
       Given granted bargained Sold aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed
