       and by these presents they do Give Grant bargaine sell enfeoffe and
       Confirme unto him the said Charles Carroll all those the afd
       Mannours of S.t Clements Bashford Westwood and all other the
       Manners Lands tenements and hereditaments whereunto the s.d
       Mich.l & Sarah or either of them have any Right Title Claime or Interest
       and Likewise all those tracts of Land and premises afd lying in y.e
       County of Westmoreland and Colony of Virginia and all other their
       said Lands and Tenem.ts in the Collony of Virginia or province
       of Maryland Togeather with all their Rights Members Rents arreares
       of Rents services Royaltys Immunityes previledges and appurtenances
       whatsoever to the said Mannors and other the said Lands belonging or in
       any wise appertaining (such Grants and Leases as have been made either
       by Thomas Gerard father to the said Justinian the said Justinian
       himself or the said Mich.l Curtis and Sarah his wife or either of
       them excepted and foreprized) the Rents and services Nevertheless due
       upon such Grantes and Leases to be paid to the said Charles Carroll
       his heires & assignes To have and to hold al those the afd Mann.r
       Tenements and Hereditaments whereunto the said Michael and
       Sarah or either of them have any Right title Claime or Interest
       and Likewise all those tracts of Land and premises afd lying in the
       County of Westmoreland and all other their said Lands and
       Tenemen.ts in the Collony of Virginia or province of Maryland
       (except as before excepted) Togeather with all their Rights Members
       Rents arreares of Rents services Royaltys Immunitys priviledges
       and appurtenances whatsoever as also all the houses outhouses
       edifices Buildings barnes stables Gardens orchards &c and alsoe
       all deeds Charters and Evidences and the originall Pattents thereunto
       Relateing unto him the said Charles Carroll his heires and assignes
       for ever Provided allways and it is the true Intent and Meaning
       of these presents that the said Mich.l Curtis and Sarah his wife
       shall and may Notwithstanding any thing in this Deed Contained
       peaceably and Quietly have hold and enjoy dureing their
       Naturall lives or dureing the Life of the Longer Liver of them
       their now Dwelling plant.a Consisting of about five hundred
       acres they satisfing and Keeping Paying yearly the old Quit
       Rent due and to Grow due for the same and also that the said
       Michael Curtis shall and may hold to his owne use a Certain
       plant.a by him purchased of one salley lying within the bounds
       of the afd Manner of S.t Clements Called Barton Hall to him
       his heires ad assignes for Ever he or they yielding and paying
