       Charles Rivers and Ann his wife partyes to the
       within Deed for and in Consideration of the sume
       of forty pounds ster to them in hand paid by the
       within named Charles Carroll Esq.r party alsoe to the
       within Deed the Receipt whereof they Doe hereby
       acknowledge and therefore Doe acquitt and
       Discharge the said Charles his ex.rs and adm.rs
       Have as by these presents they Doe for them and
       their heires Remise release Discharge and for ever
       grant claim unto him the said Charles and his
       heires of all Manner of Pretentions Right or
       Equity of Redemtion of in or to any the Lands
       Tenements and hereditaments in the within Deed
       specified and Doe for them and their heires coven.t
       promise grant and agree to and with the said Charles
       that the same lands they will Warrant and
       Defend unto the said Charles and his heires against
       all Manner of parsons whatsoever and that the
       same are at the time clear of all incumbrances
       and Arrears of Rent or other Intanglements
       of [illegible] into old surveys Defitiency of
       Quantity or any other incumbrance whatsoever
       In Wittness whereof the said Charles and Ann
       have hereunto sett their hands and seales this thirteenth
       day of December one thousand seven hundred and

       made and provided And the said Ann being privatly examined
       acknowledged the same to be Done by her without any threats
       coertion or compultion of her said husband
