423 May the 4.th 1717 Then Came the within named Alexander Parran before me one of his Lordships Justices of the prov.ll Court of this province and acknowledged the within Deed pursuant in that Case Made and provided and then Came Likewise Mary Parran wife to the within named Alexander and being by me privately examined pursuant to the Directions of the said act of assembly Declared her Consent to the within Deed and that she has agreed thereunto without Threats Compulsion or Coertion of her said husband Sam.l Young recorded June y.e 19.th 1718 1717 x.d This Indenture Made this twenty fourth day of Jan.ry seventeen hundred and sixteen Between Thomas Cook of the City of Annapolis Bricklayer of the one parte and Charles Carroll of the same City Esq.r of the other part wittnesseth that the said Thomas for and in consideracon of the sume of one hundred eighty seven pounds fifteen shillings and six pence Currant Money of Maryland to him in hand paid by the said Charles the Receipt whereof he Doth hereby acknowledge and thereof Doth acquitt the said Charles his executors and adm.rs Hath Given Granted Bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents Doth for him and his heires Give Grant Bargaine sell alien enfeoff and confirme unto him the said Charles his heirs and assignes for ever All that parte of a Tract of Land to him belonging called Painters Rest Lyeing in Cecill County upon the North side of Sasafrax River Joyning to a Tract of Land orriginally surveyed for one Samuell Hill by a North East Line from the said River from a Chesnutt standing at the Mouth of a small branch Commonly Called and Known by the Name of the Little branch and (expressing) |
