       at the head of y.e s.d River in a Neck of Land called Quapanno bound.d
       as foll  Begining at A marked Great Gumb standing in the middle
       of a branch thence w.th a line drawn North eighty p.s then No by West
       half a p.r w.ly 202 p.s thence west No 10  54 p.s thence leaving
       the said line of Shaftsbury and runing W 169 p.s to a marked Gumb &
       Oak standing in a pond of water called Coopers pond thence west
       24.d N.ol 20 p.s to intersect a So W and by Q Course of
       Shaftsbury thence along & with the said line S by W 248 p.s thence
       S W 56 p.s to a marked white oak by a bushy marsh by the s.d
       river main branch thence with a line drawn S 40 p.s to a marked
       hiccory thence w.th a line drawn E up y.e eastermost branch of y.e s.d river
       that makes y.e afd land a neck 180 p.s thence w.th a line drawn S 40 p.s
       to an Indian bridge over the said E branch thence with a line drawn
       E up y.e afd branch 260 p.s and from thence w.th a right Line to y.e first
       bounder cont.a within these bound 665 acres more or less To have &
       to hold the said 665 acres of land according to the meets and bounds
       before menconed and expressed from me the s.d Edward Hammond my
       heirs ex.rs and adm.rs to him the s.d Thomas Purnell his heirs or assignes
       for ever with all and all manner Right title Benefit and previledge
