166 Charles absolute Lord & propryatory of the province of Maryland did by his Letters Pattents und.r the great seale of the said pvince bearing date at S.t Maryes the sixteenth day of July in the 5.th yeare of the dom.n of the said Right hon.ble Charles Anno Dom one thousand six hundred and eighty for the Consideracons in the same named Grant unto Jn.o Rousbey of Talbott County father of the afd John Rousbey Esq.r all that tract or percell of Land Called Stedmore lying in Talbott County on the south side of Chester River & on the East side of a branch called Rousbeys branch Beginning at a marked Oake & Running north by west four hundred perches & with a Line drawn from the End of the north by west Line east by north three hundred & twenty perches & w.th a Line drawn from the End of the ^East by & by^ north Lyne West Line East by north south by East foure hundred per Untill it Intersect a Line drawn East by north from the afd marked Oake Containing and Laid out (according to the Cert of survey thereof taken and returned into our office for Lands bearing date the Twelfth day of June Anno Dom one thousand six hundred seventy and five and Remaining their upon Record) for eight hundred acres more or Less Togeather w.th all Rights & fitts & Benefitts thereunto belonging (Royall mines Excepted) To have & to hold the same unto him the said Jn.o Rousbey his heires & assignes for ever to be holden of his Lordship & of his heires as of his Lordships Manner of Baltemore in free & Common soccage by fealty only for all Manner of services und.r such Rent Covenant Condicons Limitations Exceptions as in & by the s.d Recited deed of Grant or pattent Relacon therein to being had doth & may more at Large appeare Now this Indenture further Wittnesseth that the s.d Jn.o Rousbey Esq.r for and in Consideration of two hundred pounds ster of Curr.t English money to him in hand well and truly paid by the afd Richard Smith at or before the Ensealing & delivery of these psence & doth acknowledge himself therew.th fully satisfied Contented & paid hath Granted Bargaine sold aliened enfeoffed released & Confirmed & by these presents doth (fully) |
