x.d               This Indenture made this 20.th day of
       July in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred & ten
       Between Hugh Riley of prince Georges County planter of
       the one part and Charles Carroll of Annarundell County Gent of the
       other part  Wittnesseth that the said Hugh for and in Considera
       of the sum of thirty eight pounds four shill & nine pence ster
       to him in hand paid the receipt whereof he hereby acknowledges
       hath bargained sold & Confirmed as by these Psents he
       doth bargaine Sell & Confirme unto the said Charles all that
       five hundred acres of Land now remaining in his Tennure or
       Occupation part of a Tract of Land Called Rileys discovery the
       whole Containing one thousand acres five hundred acres
       thereof being sold to Thomas Rickeotts & Edward Dawson
       To have and to hold the said five hundred acres unto him the
       said Charles his heires and assignes for ever w.th all its
       rights members & appurtenances and the said Hugh doth
       for himself & his heires Covenant promise grant & agree
       to and w.th the said Charles & his heires that the said tract of Land is
       free & Clear of & from all Manner of Charges & Incumbrances whatsoever
       In Wittness whereof the said Hugh has hereunto sett his
       hand & seale the day and yeare first above written

      Whereas the abovesaid Hugh Riley has this day
       drawn four bills of Exchange all of one tennor and date for
