155 This Indenture made this twenty fourth day of May one thousand seven hundred and Ten Between Georg Wells of Baltemore County Gent of the one part and Charles Carroll of Ann.ll County Gent of the other part Witnesseth that whereas Rich.d Wells Late of s.d County of Baltemore Deced was seized in fee simple of and in a Certain Tract of Land Lying in the said County called Holly Neck and Containing four hundred and seventy five acres w.ch is now Vested in George Wells party to these presents by Descent from Benjamin Wells his Brother he the said George for and in Consideration of one hundred pounds lawfull money of England to him in hand paid by the said Charles at or before the Ensealing and deliver of these presents the Receipt w.rof he the said George doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and of Every part & pcell thereof doth hereby fully Clearly and absolutely exonerate acquitt and discharge y.e said Charles his heires Execut.rs & adm.rs hath Given granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and Confirmed as by these presents he the s.d George doth for him and his heires give grant bargaine sell alien enffeofe and Confirme unto him the s.d Charles Carroll and to his heirs all that Tract or Pcell of Land Called Holly Neck lying on the west side of the bay in Baltemore County in a River in the said County Called Gunpowder River in a branch of the said River Called Wells's branch and on the south side of the said branch Beginning at a marked white oake standing on a Low point by a great Cove respecting to the south East and by East a small stand near the s.d point w.ch Island Respecteth the mouth of the River runing from the said white oak up the said Wells's branch for bredth two hundred p.s to a marked Ceader standing on a Low point of Marsh being the southern most point of a Creeke Called Ceader creek bounded on the said Ceader by a Line drawn west south west three hundred and Twenty p.s bounded on the west southwest by a Line drawn East south east two hundred per bounded on the East South East by a Line drawn East north East three hundred and Twenty P.s to a marked oake standing by the Cove from the s.d white oak Crossing the Cove southerly to a marked Chesnut standing on a small point in the said Cove Respecting to the East South East of a small Island being the south point of the said River Running from the said Chesnut oake a Cross the neck west south west thirty P.s to a marked Red oake standing on a shrubby Barren point at the head of a Cove Called shoule Cove bounded on the said Red oake by a Line drawn south down the said Cove to a marked oake on the point by the River one hundred and Sixty P.s bounded on the said oake on the point runing northerly along the River to the marked Chesnutt oake Cont.a and now Laid out for four hundred seventy and five a more or Less To have and to hold the said Tract and premises with the appurtenances unto him the said Charles Carroll his heires and assignes for Ever to the only ppuse and behoffe of him the s.d Charles his heires and assignes for ever and to no other intent or purpose whatsoever And the s.d George (for) |
