128 Maryland fs x.d This Indenture made the 26.th Day of Jan.ry Anno Dom 1709 and in the Eight Year of the Reign of Our Soveraign Lady Queen Anne of Great Brittain &c.a Between Anne Lynes Widdow Relict and Executrix of the Hon.ble Philip Lynes Esq.r late of Charles County Deceased on the one part And Charles Carroll Esq.r of the other part Witnesseth that Whereas the said Philip Lynes Esq.r the Sixth Day of August last being seized in his Demesne as of Fee of and in the Mannour of Kent Fort lying on Kent Island in Queen Anns County By his last Will and Testam.t then by him made and Duly published did demise unto M.rs Mary Contee and M.r William Bladen each a Quarter part of the said Mannour to them and their Heirs for ever and also willed the other Moyety of the aforesaid Mannour to be sold and disposed of by his sd Executrix for the Intents and purposes in the said Philip Lynes.s Will exprest she the said Anne Lynes Executrix as aforesaid in pursuanc of the said Will and for and in Consid.racon of the sume of forty and five thousand pounds of good sound merchantable leafe tob to her by the said Charles Carroll at and before the ensealing and delivery hereof in hand payd or secured to be payd by the said Charles Carroll the Receipt whereof she Doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and of of every part thereof exonerate and acquitt the said Charles Carroll hath and Doth hereby grant Bargaine sell alien enfeoffe & Confirm unto the said Charles Carroll and his heirs forever all that the af.d Moyety of the aforesaid Mannour of Kent Fort so willed by the sd Philip Lynes Esq.r by her to be sold as aforesaid with all the Rights Priviledges Advantages and appurtenances thereto belonging or in any wise appertayning and also what Cattle and Hoggs are there on lately belonging to her sd Husband To Have and to Hold the said Moyety of the said Mannour together with the appurtenances Rights Previledges and Advantages thereunto belonging unto him the said Charles Carroll his heirs and assigns forever and to the only proper Use and behoofe of him the said Charles Carroll his heirs and Assigns for ever and to no other use intent or purpose clearly Acquitted and Discharged from ^all^ Incumbrances whatsoever Saving the Rents and services hereafter to grow Due to the |
