835) 862 The Generall Court of Virginia or in the Court held for the aforesaid County of Yorke and for and in the names of them the said Robert and Elizabeth to accknowledge this p.rsent Deed of Grant or Release to be y.e Act and Deed of them the said Robert and Elizabeth and alsoe that the before writed Leased Dated the Day before y.e Date of these p.rsents is the Act and Deed of them the said Robert Vaulx to the End the same according to the Law and Custome Virg.a may be entered upon and Remaine among the Rounds of the said Generall or County Court which accknowledgments by their said Attorney or Attorneys or any one of them the said Robert and Elizabeth doe hereby Ratifie and Confirme in the largest and most Effectuall manner whatsoever In Wittness whereof the said Robert and Elizabeth have hereto sett their hands and seales the day & Year first above written The Marke of The Marke of Elizabeth + Vaulx (sealed) Robert R Vaulx (sealed) Signed Sealed and Delivered In the p.rsence of Maryland Port of Annapolis August y.e 31 1698 W Bladen Jn.o Taylor Then Came into open Court the Court then Judicially setting the within named Robert Vaulx and Elizabeth ^his wife^ and the said Elizabeth being first privatly Examined of her Consent to the same they did accknowledge the within Deed to y.e Use therein Expressed Christopher Gregory Clk This Indenture made the Thirtieth day of August in the Ninth Yeare of y.e Reigne of William the Third by y.e grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland King Defender of the faith &c.a and in the year of our Lord God according to the supputation of the Church of England 169 Between Robert Vaulx of y.e County of Dorchester in the Province of Maryland in America Planter of y.e one parte and Stephen Fauace of y.e County of Yorke in the Colloney of Virginia Clk of the other parte Wittnesseth that the said Robert Vaulx for and in Consideracon of the same of five shillings of good and Lawfull Money of England to him in hand paid by the said Stephen Fauce at and before the Ensealing and Delivery of these p.rsents the Reciept whereof the said Robert Vaulx doth hereby accknowledge hath given Granted bargained sold Dmised and to farme letten and by these p.rsents doth give Grant bargaine Sell Demise and to farme lett unto y.e said Stephen Fauace all that Tract seat or dividend of land which was formerly by Pattent Dated y.e Twenty Ninth day of October one thousand six hundred forty and seaven Granted to John Davis and his heires for ever from whom it Descended to Thomas Davis in fee and by him was Conveyed in fee simple unto James Vaulx and from him legally and Rightfully Descended and Come unto the said Robert Vaulx party to these presents and to his heires for ever from whom it descended Containing one hundred and fifty acres of land scituated lying and being on the uppermost side of Queens Creeke in the afores.d County of Yorke and bounded as followeth (to witt) beginning at a marked tree and runing along the land of M.r Jernew south by east one quarter Easterly fifty six Chaines thence westerly three quarters south along the Land of John Judson one hundred and two Chaines thence north halfe westerly fifty six Chaines and thence along the Land of Joseph Corshaw East three quarters Northerly seaventy five Chaines to the place where it begunn And also one other Tract or Dividend of Land scituate lying and being in the parish of Bruton (or Brereston) formerly called Marston Perish in the said County of Yorke And abutting and adjoyning to and upon the aforementioned one hundred and fifty Acres of Land formerly the Estate of John Thomas and by him Conveyed to John Davis and his heires for ever from whome it Descended and come in fee and y.e afore mentioned Thomas Davis who conveyed the same over in fee unto the aforemenconed James Vaulx from whom it Descended Rightfully Lawfully unto the said Robert Vaulx party to these p.rsents and to his heires for ever containing one hundred Acres of Land with all Messuages Lands Tenements Rents Services houses outhouses Yards Backsides Easements Gardens Orchards Enclosures Fields Pastures Meddows feedings marshes swamp woods underwoods ways waters water courses and all profitts and advantages to the said two hundred and fifty Acres of Land and aney and Every parte and parcell thereof belonging or in any wise appertaining together also with all Priviledges and Royaltyes of hunting Hawking Fishing |
