       Mem.d that on the sixth day of Aprill 1697 came John Rockhould before us George Ashman & Richard
       Cromwell two of his Maj.tys Justices and did acknowledge the within mentioned Land and Pemises to be
       the Right of the within Mentioned John Lockett his heires and Assignes for ever and at the same time came
       Mary wife of the s.d John Rockhould being privately Examined out of hearing of her husband and did Give her
       free and voluntary Consent to the sale of the sd Land and Pemises to the s.d Lockett his heires and Assignes for
       ever as wittness our hand

       Baltemore County fs   Know all men by these p.rsents that I John Rockhould of Ann Arundell County in y.e Province
                                     of Maryland am holden and firmly bound unto John Lockett of Baltemore County in the full sum
                                     and just quantity of sixteen thousand pounds of good sound M.rchantable leafe tobacco and Cask
                                     to containe the same to be paid to the sd John Lockett or to his Certaine att.ry his heires Ex.rs Adm.rs
                                     or Assignes covenient in Baltemore County aforesaid for which paym.t well and truly to be
                                     made and done I bind my self my heires Ex.rs and Adm.rs firmly by these p.rsents as wittness
                                     my hand and seale this fifth day of Aprill Anno Dom 1697

       The Condition of this obligation is such that if the above bounden John Rockhould his heires Ex.rs and Adm.rs
       or either of them shall hold doe from time to time and at all times for ever hereafter well and truly observe
       pforme fullfill and keep all and every the Articles Clauses Covenants and Agreem.ts mentioned contained and
       Expressed in one Certaine Indenture of bargaine and sale and Feofment bearing even date w.th these p.rsents
       above written obligation had and made by and between the said John Rockhould and the sd John Lockett
       which on the part and behoofe of the said John Rockhould his heires Ex.rs and Adm.rs are and ought to be
       observed pformed fullfilled and kept and that in and by all things according to the true intent and meaning
       of the sd Recited Indenture respectively in all poynts and Conditions that then this p.rsent obligation to
       be voyd and of none Effect otherwise to Remaine in full force power and virtue in Law
