782) 801 This Indenture made y.e seaventee^n^th day of May Anno Domi 1697 Between William Taylard of S.t Maryes County in y.e Province of Maryland Gent of y.e one parte and James Bampton of Talbot County in y.e same Province Blacksmith of y.e other parte Wittnesseth that y.e said W.m Tayard for and in Consideracon of y.e sume of tenn thousand pounds of Tob.a to him in hand p.d at & before y.e ensealing hereof y.e reciept whereof he y.e s.d W.m Taylard doth truly acknowledge and from y.e same and every pte thereof doth hereby exonerate acquitt and Discharge y.e s.d James Bampton his heires Ex.rs & Admin.rs for ever by these p.rsents hath given granted aliened bargained and sold And by these p.rsents doth hereby give grant bargain Alien sell and Confirm unto him y.e s.d James Bampton his heires and Assignes for ever All that Tract or parcell of Land called by y.e name of Taylorton lying in Talbott County in y.e Freshes of great Choptanck about a Mile below y.e going over to Delaway Bay beginning at a Marked Hickory of a Trat of Land Laid out for Henry Denton called Seburgham and from that Hickory runing north west by y.e line of Seburgham and further in all three hundred and fifty six pches then in runs east south east three hundred & thirty pches into Choptanck River then to the said Hickory on y.e East by Choptanks river conteining and laid out for eight hundred Acres of land be it more or less as in and by y.e Lord Prop.rys grant thereof to y.e said William Taylard Remaining upon record in his Lpps Office for Lands relacon being thereunto had may more fully and at large appeare To have and To hold The afores.d Tract or pcell of Land Called Taylorton unto him y.e said James Bampton his heires and Assigns for ever and and y.e only proper use and behoofe of him y.e s.d James Bampton his heirs and Assigns for ever more and to noe other use intents or purpose whatsoever And y.e said W.m Taylard doth for himself his heirs Ex.rs and Adm.rs hereby Covenant promise and agree to and with y.e said James Bampton his heires and Assigns that he y.e said W.m Taylard at y.e time of y.e ensealing & delivery of these p.rsents hath in himselfe A good right and full power and lawfull authority to give grant bargain and sell y.e afores.d Tract of Land & promise unto him y.e said James Bampton his heires and Assignes for Ever According to y.e true intent and meaning of these p.rsents & that y.e s.d James Bampton his heires and Assig^n^es shall and may for ever peaceablely and queitly have hold use occupy possess and enjoy y.e afores.d Land & p.rmisses w.thout any manner of lett hindrance molestacon evicon or disturbance whatsoever of from by or under him y.e said W.m Taylard his heires Ex.rs Admin.rs & Assigns or from by or und.r him them or any or either of them claming or to claime any manner of right title or intrest whatsoever if in or to y.e said Land and p.rmisses And lastly that y.e said W.m Talyard his heires Ex.rs Adm.rs or Assignes shall and will from time to time and at all times during y.e space of seaven years hereafter at y.e reasonable request and at y.e cost and charges in y.e Law of y.e said James Bampton his heires or Assignes make acknowledge doe and pform any other Covenants Conveyance or Deed whatsoever or by acknowledgm.t and Enrolem.t of these p.rsents for y.e better making confirming and conveying y.e afors.d Land & p.rmisses unto y.e s.d James Bampton his heirs or Assignes shall be reasonabley devised advised or required In wittness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seale day and year above written W.m Taylard (sealed) sealed and delivered in the p.rsence of H Wriothesley Memd.m this day to witt y.e Eighteenth day of May Annoq.r Dimi 1697 Tho Taylor Came y.e w.thin Named W.m Taylard into y.e Prov.ll & Acknowledged the w.thin Rich.d Haddock Mentioned unto y.e s.d w.thin Named James Bampton according to an Act of Assembly in such case made and provided taken and acknowledged in Record May 31.st 1697 open Court y.e day and year afores.d This Indenture made this twenty sixth day of May in y.e yeare of our Lord one thousand six hundred ninety and seaven Between John Craycroft of Calvert County Gent of y.e one pte and Phillip Lynes of Charles County Merchant of y.e other pte Wittnesseth that whereas y.e above named Phillip Lynes and Margarett his Wife theire Certaine Deede of Indenture bearing date the seaventh Day of Octob.r one thousand six hundred ninety three Did Bargin & sell unto y.e s.d John Craycroft for y.e consideracon of three hundred twenty four pounds ster the severall Tracts and Mannors of Land herein Menconed Viz.t A parcell of Town Land about y.e Citty of S.t Marys Containing about one hundred Acres Three Mannors of Land called Trinity Mannor S.t Gabriells Mannor & S.t Michaells Mann.r The |
