                               on the backside of the aforegoing deed was thus written viz.t
Maryland fs The within named Thomas Innis came before me and did acknowledge the within
       written Writing to be his free and voluntary act and Deed to Garrard Vansweringen
       the within Feoffe And alsoe Sarah Innis the wife of the said Thomas Innis did likewise
       acknowledge that shee with the said Thomas did Joyntly signe seale & deliver the within
       Deed of her free and voluntary will without menace or Compulsion of her husband Wittnesse
       my hand and seale this 22.d day of May 1677

       This Indenture made the tenth of October in the Third yeare of the Dominion of Charles
       Absolute Lord and Prop.ry of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore
       &.ca Annoq Domi one thousand six hundred seventy Eight Between Garrett Vansweringen of
       the County of S.t Maries in the said Province on the one part & Dennis Swelivan of the same
       County and province on the other part wittnesseth that the said Garrett Vansweringen for
       and in Consideration of the full & just sume or quantity of six thousand five hundred pounds
       of good sound Marchantable Tobacco In Caske to him in hand paid by the said Dennis
       Swelivan the receipt whereof I doe hereby acknowledge & thereof & every part and parcell
       thereof doe hereby clearly and absolutely Exonerate acquitt & discharge him the said Dennis
       Swelivan his heirs Execut.rs Adm.rs & assignes for ever by these presents hath given granted
       bargained aliend sold enfeoffed & Confirmed And doth by these presents give grant Bargain
       Alien sell enfeoffe & Confirme unto the said Dennis Swelivan his heirs and assignes for ever
       all that parcell of Land Called & commonly knowne by the name of Joseph Eldowes plantation
       formerly in the Occupacon of Roger Sherling lyeing scituate and being on S.t Jeroms Creeke
       in S.t Michaells hundred in the the County aforesaid Beginning att a point by the Creekes
       side runing North till you come to a Cove and soe up the Cove to a bound Chesnutt tree thence
       south till you come to a bound tree att the edge of the swampe thence runing West to
       a bound Pyne standing by the head of a Cove and layd out for fifty acres more or lesse And
       alsoe a parcell of Land Called Joseph Hackneys being Joyned unto the said fifty acres begining
       att a Corner tree att the edge of the swamp and soe runing south to the head of the Creeke ending
       and lyeing between Henry Riders and the swamp att the head of the Creeke and laid out for twenty
       five acres more or lesse And Alsoe the Timber trees that are in the swamp between Henry Riders
       Path and the dwelling house of the said plantation together with all houses Edifices Orchards
       Gardens and all and singular the other appurtenances to the same Belonging or any wise
       appertaining To have and to hold the said parcell of Land and the Bargained premisses to the
       said Dennis Swelivan his heirs and assignes for ever to the onely propper use & behoofe of the
       said Dennis Swelivan his heirs and assignes for ever And the said Garrett Vansweringen his heirs
       Execut.rs & Adm.rs the said severall & respective parcells of Land to him the said Dennis Swelivan his
       heirs & assignes against all manner of person or persons whatsoever shall and will for ever
       hereafter Warrant and defend by these presents the Rents and services hereafter to become due
       mentioned for the same viz.t Three Bushells and three Pecks of Indian Corne to be paid to
       W.m Guyther or his assignes att the mann.r house of the said W.m Guyther forty dayes before
       or after the nativity of our Blessed Saviour and the services to the aforesaid Mannor which by
       the Law the said Dennis Swelivan his heirs or assignes ought to performe to the said William
       Guyther his heirs & assignes alwayes Excepted and foreprized And further that the said Garrett
       his heirs and assignes shall and will from time to time and att all tymes hereafter dureing the
       space of seven yeares att the request and att the propper Costs and Charges in the Law of him the said
       Dennis Swelivan his heirs and assignes make Doe acknowledge Execute & suffer or cause to be
       made done acknowledged Executed and suffered att and every further and other act or
