       Hon.ble the Lord Prop.ry Cheife Governo.r of this Province of Maryland as for themselves in this
       behalfe prosecuteth and aswell for the said Lord the King and the said Lord Prop.ry as for
       themselves exhibited to the Court here their Certaine Informacon against Nathaniel Davis
       Master or Comander of the good shipp called the Ossery of London Derry thereby giveing
       the Court here he Understand and be informed that Whereas in the statute made in the
       Fifteenth yeare of our soveraigne Lord the King of England &c in the Fifteenth yeare
       of his raigne at Westminster in the County of Middlesex in the Kingdome of England
       amongst other things in the said statute conteyned it was enacted by authority of
       the said parliament that from and after the Twenty Fifth day of March Anno Dm
       1664 Noe Comodity of the growth Reduccon of Manufacture of Europe should be
       imported into any land Island Plantacon Cullony Territory or place to his said
       Majesty belonging or which should thereafter belong unto or bee in the possession of
       his Majesty his heires and Successo.rs in Asia Africa or America Tane is excepted
       but what should be bona fide and without fraud lauden and shipped in England
       Wales or the Towne of Barwick upon Tweed and in English built shipping or
       w.ch were bona fide bought before the First day of October 1662 and had such
       Certificate thereof as was directed in one Act Entituled an Act for p.rventing of
       Frauds and regulateing abuses in his Majestys Customes and whereof the Master and
       Three fourths of the Marrin.rs at least were English and which should be carryed directly
       thence to the said lands Island Plantacons Cullonys Territorys and places and from
       noe other places whatsoever any law statute or usage to the Contrary notwithstanding
       under the penalty of the loss of all such Comoditys of the growth produccon or
       Manufacture of Europe as should be imported into any of them from any other
       place whatsoever by land or by water and if by water of the ship or Vessell in
       which they were imported with all her Guns Tackle furniture ammunicon and
       apparrell one third part to his sayd Majesty his heires and Successo.rs One third part to
       the Governo.r of such land Island Plantacon Cullony Territory or place into which  
       such goods were imported if the said shipp vessell or goods bee there seized Informed
       against and sued for or otherwise that third part alsoe to his Majesty his heires
       and Sucesso.rs and the other third part to him or them who should seize Informe or
       sue for the same in any of his Majestys Courts in such the said lands Islands Cullonys
       Plantacons Territorys or places where the offence was Comitted or in any Court of
       Proteccon or wager of law should be allowed as in the same statute amongst other things
       is more fully conteyned which said statute is yett in full force and unrepealed Nevertheless
       the said Nathaniell Davis Master or Comander of the said ship or vessell called the Ossory
       of London Derry well knowing the statute aforesaid to be in full force and ^un^repealed but the
       same statute not weying Nor the paines penaltys and forfitures in the same conteyned any
       wayes regarding after the said twenty fifth day of March One thousand six hundred sixty
       foure in the said statute menconed that is to say the last day of February in the yeare
       of our one thousand six hundred Eighty Foure then rideing at Anchor in the river of
       Monokin within the County of Somersett in the Province of Maryland within the
       Jurisdiction of this Court then and there did import and bring into the said Province
       of Maryland in the said ship or vessell called the Ossory of Londonderry diverse and
       sundry goods and Merchandizes of the growth production and manufacture of
       Europe w.ch were not really and bona fide shipped laden or taken in in England or
       Wales or the Towne or Barwick upon Tweed but were by One Robert Black
       Merchant shipped and laden by the said Nathaniel Davis taken on board the
       said ship or vessell in the Kingdome of Ireland that is to say a percell of shoes a
