301) 310 I Elizabeth Calvert of S.t Maryes County the Relict and Adm.rx of the Late Hono.ble William Calvert Esq.r deced for a valuable Consideration to me in hand paid by Hugh Manning of S.t Maries County planter the Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge and myselfe to be therewith fully satisfied Do for my selfe my heires Ex.rs and Adm.rs hereby Grant Bargain & sell unto the said Hugh Manning his heires and Assignes all that part or pcell of Land Lyeing in a Mannor called Pointing Mannor in Charles County Cont two hundred acres to be Laid out in a Squair of Length and breadth on Potomock River in the said Mannor (if occasion bee) to be surveyed at the Charge of the said Hugh Manning his heires or assignes together with all Rights proffites benifites and priviledges thereunto belonging Royall Minnes Excepted To have and to hold the same unto him the said Hugh Manning his heires and assignes from me the said Elizabeth Calvert my heires and assignes to him his heires and assignes for Ever and further I do hereby warrant the said title to be good to the said Hugh Manning and his heires for Ever of and from me and my heires and defend the same off and from all manner of pson or psons whatsoever Clayming or to Clayme from by or under Me and my heires or from by or under any other pson or psons whatsoever provided allwaies and upon such Condition that if the said Elizabeth Calvert shall and will defend the title to a Certain tract of Land within mentioned sould by me to the said Hugh Manning as by the within mentioned Deed may appeare and warrant the same title to be good in Law to the said Hugh Manning and his heires as w.thin mentioned and defend the same off and from Charles Calvert my sonn and off and from his heires and off and from all and Every other pson or psons whatsoever any waies Clayming any title to the same then this present writting shall be void and of Non Effect any thing herein contained to the Conterary thereof in any waies notwithstanding Wittness my hand and Seale the Seaventeenth day of October Annoq.r Dom One Thousand six hundred & Eighty three Elizabeth Calvert (seale) Sealed and delivred in the presence of us Seth Sergeant W.m Taylard The 25.th of Nov.r 1684 Accknowledged the day and Tim.o T Tracey year abovesaid by ye sd Elizabeth Calvert before us his marke Henery Darnall Nicho Sewall This Indenture made the six and Twentieth day of August in the Nineth yeare of the dominion of Charles Absolute Lord and prop.ry of the provinces of Maryland & Avalon Lord Barron of Baltmore &c.a Annoq dom one Thousand six hundred Eighty & foure Between Robert Carvile of S.t Maryes County in the province of Maryland Gent and Johanna his wife of the one part and John Darnall of Calvert County in the said Province Esq.r of the other part Wittnesseth that the said Robert Carvile and Johanna his wife for and in Consideration of the summe of Thirty Thousand pounds of Good sound & Merchantable tobacco in Casque to them before the sealing and delivery of these psents well & truely contented and paid by the said John Darnall whereof and wherewith they the said Robert Carvill and Johanna his wife do acknowledge and confess themselves to be fully satisfied and thereof and of Every part and pcell thereof do Clearly acquite and discharge the said John Darnall his heires Executors and Administrators and Every of them for Ever by these presents Have given Granted Bargained and sould aliened & Confirmed and by these presents do give grant Bargain sell Alien and Confirme unto the said John Darnall his heires and Assignes for Ever All that tract or Pcell of Land called |
