286) 296 To all persons to whome these presents shall come Greeting Know yee That I Richard Boughton of Charles County in the province of Maryland Gent For divers good causes and Consideracons me hereunto moving Haven given grannted bargained sold enfeoffed and confirmed and by these p.rsents Doe give grannt bargaine sell enfeoffe and confirme from me my heirs executors adm.rs and assignes for ever All that parcell of land called Nangemy lying scituating and being in Baltemore County in the province of Maryland betweene the falls of Gun powder River in the wood begining at a bounded oake and runing west one hundred and fifty perches to a bounded oake then south Foure hundred perches to the maine falls then East w.th the said falls one hundred and fifty perches then North to the first bound tree Conteyning and now layd out for Three hundred and seaventy five acres of land be the same more or lesse And also all that parcell of land called Boughtons forrest lying scituating and being in the said province of Maryland in Baltemore County on the head of the back River of Gunpowder River begining at a marked white oake and runing south south East sixty perches to a bounded spanish oake standing by the maine runn of the said River Comonly ^knowne^ called by the name of the herring runn then bounding on the said Runn lying up south west and by south Thirty perches to a marked Locust tree still bounding on the said Runn lying up south west for length of Five hundred perches then north north west Three hundred perches then by a streight lyne to the first bound tree Conteyning and now layd out for Five hundred and seaventy five acres of land Both which tracts of land absolut in the whole amounts unto the full and just quantity of Nine hundred and fifty acres of land be the same more or lesse unto George Thompson of S.t Maries County in the province of Maryland Gent to him his heires executors adm.rs and assignes for ever Together with all Right proffitts and benefitts to the same parcells or tracts of land belonging or in any manner of wayes apperteyning (Royall mines excepted) Yeilding and paying therefore yearly unto the Right hono.ble Lord Baron of Baltemore Lord and prop.ry of the province of Maryland and his heires at their receipt at the Citty of S.t Maries and at the two most usual feasts in the yeare (vizt) at the feast of the Annunciacon of the blessed virgin Mary and at the feast of S.t Michaell the Archangell by even and equall porcons the rent of one pounds Eighteene shillings sterling in silver or gold being the full and yearly rent of the whole nine hundred and fifty acres of land as aforesaid To have and to hold the aforesaid parcells of land Conteyning and layd out for Nine hundred and fifty acres of land as aforesaid Together with all the Rights Jurisdiccons and appurtennces whatsoever thereon to belonging or in any manner of wayes apperteyning he the said George Thompson his heires executors administrators & assignes paying for a fine upon every alienacon of the said land or any part or pcell thereof one whole yeares rent in silver or gold or the full value thereof as the said Lord Baron of Baltemore or his heires or such officer or officers appoynted by him or his heires to Collect or receive the same shall accept in discharge thereof And I the said Richard Boughton doe hereby oblige my selfe my heires executors administrators and assignes for ever To warrant and defend the sale hereof against all manner of Clayme or Claymes by any manner of person or persons whatsoever unto the said George |
