284) 294 To Enter and the same to have Enjoy and possesse peaceably and quietly for & untill the said Gerard Helgar shall attaine the Age of Eighteene yeares as afores.d without the let molestacon or interrupcon of me the said Thomas Gerard my Executors or adm.rs or of any person or persons whatsoever saving to my selfe the sole propriety and Comand of the said Land and premisses during the minority of the said Gerard Helgar And likewise saving and reserving to the said Anne Helgar the sume of six thousand pounds of Tobacco to be payd her by the said Gerard Helgar upon the Tenth day of November yearly and every yeare That the said Anne shall live after the said Gerard Helgar shall attaine the Age of Eighteene yeares as aforesaid to his said plantacon or parcell of land with the houses and buildings and appurtennces to him the said Gerard Helgar when he shall come to Eighteen yeares of Age And to his heires executors adm.rs and assignes from thenceforth against my selfe my heires executors adm.rs and all other person or persons whatsoever I the said Thomas Gerard shall and will for ever warrant and defend by these presents And also the aforesaid land and p.rmisses I the said Thomas Gerard against my selfe my heires executors & adm.rs & all other person and persons whatsoever to the survivour of the said Jacob Helgar lawfully begotten of the body of the said Anne by the said Thomas Helgar if the said Child shall survive the said Gerard Helgar before he shall attaine the Age of Eighteene yeares as aforesaid shall and will likewise warrant & defend by these presents And further if the said Thomas Gerard for my selfe my Ex.rs & adm.rs doe covenant and promise That if the said Gerard Helgar shall dye before I shall be Eighteene yeares of Age without any survivour of the body of the said Anne lawfully begotten by the said Thomas Helgar as aforesaid And that if I the s.d Thomas Gerard shall either dye or marry in the meanetime Then the aforesaid plantacon and premisses with the appurtennces shall be & remaine unto her the said Anne Helgar and her heires forever Any thing herein before Conteyned to the Contrary thereof in any wise notwithstanding In witnes whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seale This Tenth day of November In the Eighth yeare of the Dominion of the R.t hono.ble Charles &c Annoq Dominij Sealed and delivered in the pnts Thomas Gerard of John Reddish Jn.o Pryor Tho Brooke Endorsem.t Memord this Tenth day of November An.o 1683 Came Thomas Gerard of S.t Maries County Gent before me Thomas Trueman Esq.r one of his Lorpps Justices of the peace and acknowledged the within writing to be his voluntary Act & deed Tho Trueman Entred upon Record this 6.th day of May Annoq Dm 1684 P Tho Grunwin Clk To all people to whome this present writing of Release shall come The Right hono.ble the Lady Jane Barronesse of Baltemore and Consort to the Right hono.ble Charles Lord Baron of Baltemore Absolute Lord and prop.ry of the province of Maryland sendeth Greeting Whereas the said Charles Lord Baron of Baltemore Lord and prop.ry aforesaid by his Lres pattents under the greate seale of the said province of Maryland bearing date the Twentieth day of June Annoq Dm 1677 For the Consideracon therein menconed Did give graunt Confirme unto his said deare Consort the Lady Jane Baltemore her heires and assignes All that tract of land called or knowne by the name of the Mannor of Little Eltonhead scituate lying and being on the Bay and River Patuxent in Calvert County within the said province of Maryland Conteyning by Estimacon Two thousand acres more or lesse |
