282) 292 Royalties and priviledges (Royall mines excepted) most usually belonging to Mannors in England To have and to hold the same unto the said Jane Sewall her heires and assignes for ever As by the same Lres pattents relacons thereunto being had more planely it doth and may appeare Now this Indenture witnesseth That aswell for and in Consideracon That the said Charles Lord Baltemore hath setled assured and confirmed unto the Hono.ble Nicholas Sewall Esq.r sonne and heire to his said Henry Sewall and heire apparent to the said Jane And to his the said Nicholas his heires and assignes for ever a certaine tract of land conteyning about Two thousand acres on which the said Nicholas Sewall is now seated scituate on the south side of puttuxen River in Calvert County called and knowne by the name of Charles his guift As for divers other goods causes and Consideracons Them the said Charles Lord Baltemore and the said Lady Jane hereunto especially moving And for the setling conveying and assureing of the said Twelve hundred acres of land now called the mannor of Mattapany Sewall with the appurtences and the Capitall Messuage or Mannor house buildings outhouses barnes stables orchards gardens wayes easements proffitts priviledges right members and appurtenances to the same belonging To upon or to the use of the said Charles Lord Baltemore and the Lady Jane his said Consort his heires forever They the said Charles Lord Baltemore and the Lady Jane his said Consort for them and their heires doe covenant grant & agree And it is hereby covenanted granted and agreed by and betweene all the said parties to these presents for them and their heires And it is the true intent and meaning of these presents and of all the parties thereunto and soe is hereby declared That the said Charles Lord Baltemore and the said Lady his Consort and their heires and the heires of them & either of them shall stand and be seized of and in the said Mannor called Mattapany Sewall with the appurtennces and the Capitall Messuages or Mannor house and all & every the lands thereunto belonging or of right apperteyning and of and in every part and parcell thereof of with their and every of their appurtennces to the sole and onely proper use and behoofe of the said Charles Lord Baltemore and of his heires and assignes for ever And to and for none other use intent or purpose whatsoever In Witnes whereof all the said parties to these presents have to each part of these presents put their hands and seales the day and yeare first above written C Baltemore Sealed and delivered by all the parties within named in the presence Jane Baltemore of Nicholas Sewall Tho Burford Henry Darnall Tho Grunwin John Darnall Afterwards the Last day of Aprill In the yeare of our Lord 1684 his Lopp the Right hono.ble Charles Lord Baron of Baltemore and the Lady Jane his Consort according to the Act of Assembly in his Case made and provided did acknowledge the within menconed premisses to be the Right of the within named Henry Darnall Esq.r as those which the within named Henry and Jane have of the guift of his said Lorpp and the Lady Jane his Consort And those they have remised and quit claymed from his Lorpp and his said Lady and their heires to the said Henry and John and the heires of the said Henry for ever And further his said Lorpp and the said Lady Jane have grannted for |
