17 of the said Extent may be anywise hurt hindered impeached discharged undone or made voyd but that the said Thomas Gerard his heires Exec.rs and Adm.rs the said Manno.r of Basford with the appurtenances aforesaid to him the said Thomas Notley his heires Exec.rs Adm.rs or Assignes dureing the Terme of Forty Yeares aforesaid Shall and will warrant and Defend against all persons whatsoever by these p.rsents And further that he the Said Thomas Gerard his heires Exec.rs and Adm.rs Shall and Will att the Reasonable Request and proper Costs and Charges in the law of him the said Thomas Notley his heires Exec.rs and Adm.rs and assignes or any of them doe and Suffer to be Done made and Acknowledged all and Every Such lawfull and Reasonable Act and Acts thing and things device and Devices in the law whatsoever for the further Assurance Surety Sure makeing and Conveying of the premisses for and dureing all the time & Terme of the said Extent Execution & Judgment of Court aforesaid unto the said Thomas Notley his heires Exec.rs Adm.rs and Assignes or any of them as by the Learned Councell of him the Said Thomas Notley his heires Exec.rs Adm.rs or Assignes or any of them shall be reasonably Advised devised or Required Provided that the said Thomas Gerard his heires Exec.rs or Adm.rs be not obliged to travaile further then the Citty of S.t Maryes for the Doeing Acknowledging makeing or Executeing the same In Witnes whereof the Partyes first above Named have to these p.rsent Indentures Interchangeably sett to theire hands and Seales the Day ^&^ Yeare first above written Signed Sealed & Delivered in the p.rsence of us Thomas Gerard Sealed Baker Brooke John Llewellin Hum Warren On the Backside of the above written Indenture was thus written viz.t Aprill the Eighteenth One Thousand Six hundred Seaventy Seaven the within mentioned Indenture of Assignation of the Extent of the Manno.r of Basford was by the above named Thomas Gerard Acknowledged in Open Court to be his Act and Deed to the uses therein named John Blomfeild Cl Cur Provinc This Indenture made the seaven & Twentyeth day of Aprill in the Second year of the Dominion of Charles &c and in the yeare of Our Lord One Thousand Six hundred Seaventy & Seaven Betweene Thomas Taylor of the County of Ann Arundell in the Province of Maryland [illegible] George White of Runnwell in the County of Essex in the Kingdome of England Esq.r lately [illegible] of the other parte And Daniell Moy Sonn & heyre of Richard Moy late of S.t Maryes County in the Province of Maryland aforesaid Innholder deceased of the other party Witnesseth that Whereas the said George White deceased in his life time Sold unto the said Richard Moy Deceased in his [illegible] parcell of land Called the Vineyard lying upon the Northerne side of Gerards Creek [illegible] on the North with the Creeke Called the Fresh Creeke upon the East with the [illegible] Beginning att the said Fresh Creeke neare the path and Ending in the [illegible] Gerards Creeke and upon the West with S.t Georges River and Conteynes to the beginning of Two hundred forty three Acres or thereabouts and alsoe Another parcell of land Joyning to the land Called the Vineyard Bounding on the West with the Line of Porke Fall on the South with the land of Snow hill beginning att A Marked Redd Oake Standing high A place Called the head of Gerards Creeke and Running from the said Redd Oake by A Due East line for Eighty Perches to A Marked Pochickory On the East by A line drawne North from the Said Pockhickory for Two hundred Perches To A Marked Hickory On the South by A line drawne South West for Sixty Perches to the Corner Bound ^Tree^ of land surveyed for Philip Calvert Esq.r Called Whitwell And Keepeing the said Course by the Branch of A Runn falling into Porke Hall Creeke till itt intersects with the Abovesaid Line of Porke Hall Conteyneing by Estimacon One hundred Acres In the Whole Conteyning by Estimacon Three hundred Forty and Three Acres more or lesse And Whereas the said Jerome and Richard both dyed Either before the payment for the same was fully Compleated or A sufficient Conveyance thereof for the same Given from the Said Jerome To the Said Richard And whereas alsoe the said George White by his Letter of Attorney duely Executed in the Citty of London in the Kingdom of England the Ninth (day |
