101) 110 William Penn of Liverpoole in the Kingdome of England Maryner of the other part Witnesseth that the said Thomas and Elizabeth for and in Consideracon of the summe of fourteen thousand pounds of good Sound Merchantable Tobacco in Caske to them in hand paid by the said Symon and William the receipt whereof they the said Thomas and Elizabeth doe hereby acknowledge and thereof and of every part and parcell thereof the said Symon Spracklin and william Pen their Executors and adm.rs and every of them doe exonerate and discharge by these presents Have granted Aliened bargained sould Enfeoffed & Confirmed and by these p.rsents for them theire heires Executors and adm.rs doe fully clearly and absolutely Grant bargaine alien sell enfeoffe and Confirme unto them the said Symon Spracklin and William Penn theire heires and assignes for Ever all that parcell of Land now Called Wickahandick lyeing in Saint Georges Creek neare the Streights bounding on the East w.th S.t Georges Creeke on the South and West w.th Potomak River on the north with a Lyne drawne from the head of a Creeke Called Saint Johns Creeke East into Saint Georges Creeke Containing three hundred and fifty acres more or lesse w.ch said Tract of Land was Granted by his Lordships Lett.rs Pattent under the greate seale of the said province bearing date the seaventh day of Aprill Annoq Domini One thousand six hundred fifty foure unto John Pritchard deceased and since by seaverall wayes and meanes settelled and Vested in the said Thomas Bennet his heires and assignes Together w.th all the houses buildings Edifices Woods privilidges and appurtenances to the said parcell of Land belonging or apperteyning And all Writeings to the same belonging To have and to hold the same and every part and parcell thereof unto them the Said Symon Spracklin and William Penn theire heires and assignes for Ever to the onely and proper use and behoofe of them the said Symon Spracklin & William Penn theire heires and assignes for Ever and to noe other use intent or purpose whatsoever And the said Thomas and Elizabeth For themselves theire heires Executors and adm.rs doe Covenant promise grant and agree to and w.th the said Symon Spracklin and William Penn theire heires Executo.rs adm.rs & assignes that they the said Thomas and Elizabeth at the time of the Ensealeing and delivery of these p.rsents Of the said Land and p.rmisses and every part thereof stand seized of a good sure firme title and estate of Inheritance free and Cleare of all incumbrances whatsoever The rents and services for the same from this time to become due and payable to the Lord of the Fee of the p.rmisses onely excepted & foreprized And that they the said Thomas and Elizabeth have good right full power and Lawfull authority to grant bargaine & sell the Same and every prte thereof to them the said Symon and William theire heires and assigns for ever in Manner and forme aforesaid And also that they the said Symon Spracklin and William Penn theire heires and assignes the said Land and premisses shall and may frome henceforth for ever peaceably and quietly have hold use occupy possesse and enjoy w.thout the lett Interrupcon Evicon or disturbance of them the said Thomas and Elizabeth theire heires Executo.rs and Adm.rs or of any other person whatsoever In Witnesse whereof the partyes first above named have to these p.rsents Interchangeably sett theire hands and seales the day and yeare first above written Sealed and delivered in the p.rsence of Thomas Bennett sealed Nich Painter Eliz.a Bennett sealed John Barnes On the back of the aforegoing deed of Conveyance was thus Written Memorandum that this day to witt the eighth day of November the third yeare of the Dominion of Charles &.a Annoq Dom 1678 before us Thomas Notley Esq.r Cheife Governo.r and William Calvert Esq.r principall Secretary of this province Came the w.thin named Thomas Bennett and Elizabeth his wife in their proper persons And the said Elizabeth being by us alone and secretly examined according to the forme of a Certaine Act of Assembly in that case pvided |
