establish a maximum rate of interest on bonds or
certificates of indebtedness viable in the current
financial market,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Section 38 (b) of the
Charter of the Town of Berwyn Heights be amended to read:

"...the Commissioners of Berwyn Heights are
hereby authorized ...to issue bonds or certificates of
indebtedness...with interest not to exceed the rate of
[six] EIGHT percent per annum..."

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Section 38 (e) of the Charter
of the Town of Berwyn Heights be amended to read:

"Such assessments...upon such abutting property...to
bear interest at a rate not to exceed [six] EIGHT per
cent per annum..."

Resolution No. 11-74

Pursuant to Article 11E of the Constitution of
Maryland and Section 13 of Article 23A of the Annotated
Code of the State of Maryland, the Commissioners of the
Town of Berwyn Heights desire to amend Section 31(d) of
the Charter of the Town of Berwyn Heights (February 1,
1964 Edition) in order to change the date the rate of
taxation shall be determined,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Section 31 (d) of the
Charter of the Town of Berwyn Heights be amended to read:

"...The rate of taxation shall be determined on the
[second] FOURTH Tuesday of June of each year."
