       In Witness whereof the Parties first above Written hath hereunto
       set his hand and Affixed his Seal the day and year afore mentioned
       Signed Sealed & Deliver.d                     John Scott Seal

                            On the Back of the Aforegoing Deed was thus written viz

       October 7.th 1765  Then Received of William Hall of Elk Ridge The
       Consideration money within Mentioned being Two hundred and
       Thirty five Pounds Current Money

       Henry Ridgley

       October 7.th 1765 Then Came before us the Subscriber two of his
       Lordships Justices of Ann Arundel County Court the within
       named John Scott Heir at Law of George Scott of Fred.k County
       Deceased and Acknowledged the within Indenture to be his Act
       and Deed and the two Several Tracts or Parcells of Land and Premisses
       therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the
       within named William Hall of Elk Ridge his Heirs and
       Assigns for Ever

          Received the 15.th October 1765 of William Hall Twenty three shillings
       and four pence Sterling for the use of the Lord Baltimore being
       the Alienation Fine on the within Land and by virtue of a
       Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq his said Lordships Agent
       and receiver General

Examined
          This Indenture made this nineteenth day of October in
       the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Sixty five
       Between Cornelius Carmack of Frederick County in the Province
       of Maryland planter of the one part and Samuel Chase of the
       City of Annapolis in the Province aforesaid Attorney at Law of
       the other part Witnesseth that the said Cornelius Carmack for
       and in Consideration of the sum of Ten Pounds Sterling Money
       to him in hand paid or secured to be paid by the said Samuel Chase
       the Receipt whereof he the said Cornelius Carmack doth hereby
       Acknowledge and himself to be therewith fully satisfied contented
