630 and agree to and with the said Richard Henderson his Heirs and Assigns that he the said Joseph Joyce and his Heirs the aforesaid Undivided Moiety or half part of a Tract of Land aforesaid with the premisses and Appurtenances therein to belonging (except as before excepted) unto him the said Richard Henderson his Heirs and Assigns against him the said Joseph Joyce & his Heirs and against all person or persons whatsoever claiming or which may hereafter claim the same by from or under him the s.d Joseph Joyce or his Heirs or any or either of them shall and will forever warrant and defend by these Presents In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set their Hands and Affixed their Seals the Day and Year first above Written Signed Sealed and Delivered his in the Presence of Us Joseph + Joyce seal Ja.s Brice Mark William Harwood On the Back of the Aforegoing Deed was thus Written Viz Received on the Day and Year first within Written of and from the within Named Richard Henderson the sum of Fifty Pounds Current Money being the Consideration Money within mentioned I say rece.d by Me his Witness Joseph + Joyce Ja.s Brice Mark William Harwood Be it Remembered that on the thirteenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord Christ One thousand seven hundred and sixty five before me the Subscriber one of the Justices of the provincial Court of the Province of Maryland personally appeared the Within named Joseph Joyce and acknowledged the within Indenture to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premisses therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within named Richard Henderson his Heirs and Assignes according to the true Intent and Meaning of the same Deed and the Act of Assembly in such Case made and provided Geo Steuart Received the 14.th September 1765 of Richard Henderson three Shillings Sterling the use of Lord Baltimore being the Alienation Fine on the within Land by virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq his said Lordships Agent & Received General John Davidson recorded 14.th September 1765 8 1/2 side |
