606) all Persons Whatsoever Provided Allways and the true intent and Meaning of these presents is that if the said Benjamin Ward his heirs Ex.rs or Adm.rs do and shall Well and truly Pay or Cause to be paid unto the said Samuel Ward his Heirs Executors Adm.rs or Assigns the full and Just Sum of Thirty six pounds Sterling on or before the Tenth day of September next Insueing the Date hereof with Legal Interest for same, Then and in such Case the Bargain and Sale hereby made is to be void any thing in these presents to the Contrary Notwithstanding In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and this 20.th Day of August Anno Dom 1765 Seald and Delivered in the presence of B Ward Seal The words three Colts all my Crop of Corn and Tobac.o now growing Enter Lind before Sind John Ijams Henry Plummer, on the back of the aforegoing Bond was thus Written Viz.t Maryland fs.t Augu.st 20.th 1765 Then Came Benjamin Ward before me the Subscriber One of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for Ann Arundel County and Acknowledged the Within Deed and Bargained Premisses therein mentioned to be the Right of the within Mentioned Samuel Ward his heirs and Assigns 3 sides Before me Jn.o Ijams Recorded 28.th August 1765 Ex.d This Indenture made the 23.d day of August one Thousand seven hundred & sixty five Between William Digges son of Charles Digges of Prince Georges County of the one part and Raphael Taney of S.t Marys County of the other part Both of the Province of Maryland Witnesseth That That the said William Digges for and in Consideration of the sum of Twelve pounds Current money of Maryland to him in hand paid before the ensealing and Delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof the said W.m Digges doth hereby Acknowledge & from every part or parcell thereof doth Acquit exonerate & discharge the said Raphael Taney his heirs Exe.rs & Adm.rs Hath given granted Bargained & sold and by these presents do give grant bargain & sell & Confirm unto the said Raphael Taney in his Actual Possession now being his heirs & Assigns all that parcell of Land taken up by Henry Lowe called the Inclosure the greatest part of which said Land (my) |
