       we have Signed sealed and Delivered the within written Deed or
       Instrument of Writing for Conveying of the within mentioned four
       hundred & six Acres & half of Land Messuage & Tenements & Hereditaments
       to James Dick likewise within named and to his heirs And Whereas
       the within written Deed so by us signed sealed and Delivered cannot
       be by us acknowledged in our own persons by reason of our living out
       of the Province of Maryland (where the within mentioned Land lye)
       at the time of the execution of the within written Instrument
       Know Ye that we the said Samuel Preston Moore, Mordecai Moore,
       Thomas Moore & Charles Moore for Divers good Causes us thereunto
       moving but more particularly to the Intent that the within
       written Deed may have its full Effect for transferring the property
       of and Estate in the said Lands & premises to the said James
       Dick have made constituted and Appointed and by these presents
       do make constitute and Appoint and in our places and stead
       put Thomas Gassaway & Thomas Sprigg of Ann Arundel County
       in the Province of Maryland or either of them our true and lawfull
       Attorney for us and in our Name Place and Stead to acknowledge
       the within Written Deed or Indenture as our Act and Deed for the Use
       therein Mentioned either in the Provincial Court of the Province of
       Maryland or County Court where the said Land lye or before any
       Judge or Justice of the said Courts or either of them in such Manner
       as before the Laws and Usages of the Province of Maryland the
       same ought to be Acknowledged so that the said Indenture may be
       Inrolld according to the direction of the Act or Acts of Assembly of
       the said Province of Maryland enjoyning the same      Witness
       our Hands & seals this fourth Day Day of June Anno Domini 1765

          The fifth of July 1765 I hereby Certifie that M.r Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer
       one of the Subscribing Evidences to the above Power of Attorney Personally
       appeared before me the subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the
       Provincial Court of Maryland and made oath that he saw the above
       Named Samuel Preston Moore, Mordecai Moore, Thomas Moore &
       Charles Moore sign Seal and Deliver as their Act and Deed the above
