595 Ex.d This Indenture made this Twenty second day of July in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and sixty five Between Philip Ha^m^mond of Ann Arundel County Gentleman of the one Part and John Hammond of the County af.d Barrister at Law of the other Part Witnesseth That the said Philip Hammond for and in Consideration of the sum of twenty five pounds Current Money to him in Hand paid by s.d John Hammond the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and confessed and for other Good and Valuable Considerations him hereunto moving He the said Philip him hereunto moving He the said Philip hath granted bargained and sold conveyed and Confirmed and doth hereby for himself and his Heirs &C grant bargain and sell convey and Confirm unto John Hammond af.d his Heirs and Assigns for ever all his the said Philips sixth Part or Portion of Property (devised him under the Last Will and Testament of Philip Hammond Esq.r of the County af.d late deceased) of in and to the Lott of Ground situate just within the Entrance Gate to the City of Annapolis and numbered in the Plott of the Town with the Appurtenances & Improvements unto his the said Philip's Part af.d in any wise belonging Also all his the said Philip's like Part or Portion of Property (devised him as af.d) of in and to the Tract or Parcel of Land lying just without the Entrance Gate to the City af.d and Known and Called by the Name of Acton or Hammond's Town Land with all & Every of the Appurtenances and Improvements unto the same belonging or thereunto reputed to belong Together with all his Estate Right Title & Interest of in and to the Lott of Ground and Tract of Land called Acton af.d and each of them, with Every of their Appurtenances unto his af.d Part of Each & both belonging as af.d To have and To hold all his the s.d Philip Hammond's sixth Part or Portion of Property & Estate of in and to the Premisses af.d viz in The Lott of Ground and Tract of Land called Acton af.d with Every of the Appurtenances unto Each & both belonging unto him the said John Hammond his Heirs and Assigns for Ever to and for his & their sole and proper Use and Behoof and for none other whatsoever And the said Philip the af.d Parts and Parcells of Property with their Appurtenances and Improvements hereby sold and disposed of by him from and against himself and his heirs & all Persons claiming or to Claim by from or under him and them unto John Hammoned af.d and his Heirs and Assigns shall and will Warrant and for ever defend and furthermore he doth covenant that he and his Heirs further and better Assurence of the |
