585 Trustees aforesaid shall stand and be seised of and in the Land and Premises and European Goods aforesaid to and for the use of the said Henry Ward his heirs and Assigns In Witness whereof the said Henry Ward hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his Seal the Day and year first above Written Signed Sealed and Delivered in the presence of all interlineations were made before execution y.e of Henry Ward Seal George Chalmers John Denton On the Back of the Afforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t 1765 July 29.th Then received of Anthony Steuart Reverdy Ghiselin and William Steuart the sum of five Shillings Current Money being the Consideration Money within mentioned Witness I say received P me Geo Chalmers Henry Ward John Denton 1765 July 30.th Personally appeared Henry Ward before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and acknowledged the within Indenture to be his Act and Deed and the Lands & premisses and European Goods to be the right and Estate of the within named Anthony Steuart Reverdy Ghiselin and William Steuart to and for the Uses intents and purposes therein mentioned and Agreeable to this Act of Assembly in such Cases made and provided And at the same time came Mary the Wife of the said Henry who being examined a part from and out of the hearing of her said Husband relinquished all her right and Title of Dower of in and to the Lands & premisses aforesaid and declared that she made the same relinquishment willingly and freely without being compelled thereto by threats from or fear of ill Usage from her said Husband or this fear of his displeasure 17 Sides Recorded 30.th July 1765 John Brice |
