583 Shillings each by a Deed of Mortgage bearing date the twenty fourth Day of November one thousand seven hundred and sixty three reference being thereunto had may more fully and at Large Appear He the said Henry Ward doth hereby Covenant and Agree to and with the Managers aforesaid that they or any of them shall and may out of the Monies arising from the sale of the Tickets aforesaid pay and satisfy unto the said Daniel Wolstenholme the principal sum of money and Interest due on the said mortgage and upon payment thereof that they take a full and sufficient Release from the said Daniel Wolstenholme of all his right Title property claim and demand in and to the said Mortgaged Lott and houses Now This Indenture Witnesseth that he the said Henry Ward for the Consideration aforesaid and for and in Consideration of the sum of five Shillings Current Money to him in hand paid by the said Anthony Steuart Reverdy Ghiselin and William Steuart at or before the Sealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged he the said Henry Ward hath granted bargained and sold aliened enffeoffed and confirmed and these presents doth grant bargain and sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto them the said Anthony Steuart Reverdy Ghiselin and William Steuart and their Heirs All that Tract or parcell of Land called Wards Venture Enlarged lying and being in Dorchester County Beginning for the out Bounds of the whole Tract at a marked White Oak Standing on the West side of the main Road that leads down Nanticoak to Elliots Island it being the original Bounder of the original Wards Venture then runs West eighty two perches then North Twenty five degrees West forty three perches then south forty nine Degrees West one hundred and sixty six perches then south twenty degrees West forty three perches then east one hundred and two perches then North Twenty five degrees West forty two perches then south eighty eight degrees East one hundred and thirty perches then south twenty degrees ^West^ twenty two perches then south seventy degrees East forty eight perches the^n^ North twenty Degrees East one hundred perches then with a Streight Line to the first Beginning Containing one hundred and thirty five Acres of Land more or Less also all that piece or Parcell of Ground lying and being in the City of Annapolis at the head of the Dock which the said Henry Ward heretofore on the sixth Day of January seventeen hundred and sixty five purchased of a certain Horatio Samuel Middleton Beginning at a (Stake) |
