579 On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written I Received on the day and Year first within written of the within named James Dick Five Shillings Sterling being the Consideration Money within mention'd to be by him paid to me Witness Jn.o Ijams Sam.l Chapman Tho.s Watkins July 9.th 1765 Came before us ^the Subscribers^ two of his Lordships Justices of Ann ^Ann^ Arundel County the within named Samuel Chapman and acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be his act and Deed and the within mentioned Lands Appurtenances and Negroe Slaves with their increase to be the right and Estate of the within named James Dick according to the true intent and meaning of the within Deed and the Act of Assembly in such Case made and Provided Jn.o Ijams Recorded 10.th July 1765 Tho.s Watkins 17 sides Ex.d To all to whom these Presents shall come James Russell of Crutched Friars London Merchant sends Greeting Whereas Alexander Symmer and Andrew Symmer of the Province of Maryland in North America Merchants stand indebted to the said James Russell in the severall sums of one thousand five hundred and thirteen pounds and nine pence and eight hundred and eighty two pounds eight Shillings and ten pence on two several Bonds or Obligations bearing date respectively the day of January now last past And whereas there are also due and owing to the said James Russell and to William Molleson his partner from divers other Persons in Maryland aforesaid several sums of money on Account of the trade and dealings of the said James Russell and William Molleson to Maryland aforesaid Now these Presents witness that the said James Russell Hath made constituted and appointed and by these Presents Doth make constitute and appoint Charles Grahame on Patuxent River in Maryland aforesaid Esquire together with the before named William Molleson his Partner late |
