517 Prince Georges County fs.t Feby 23.d 1765 Then came before us the Subscribers two of the Magistrates of the Peace for Prince Georges County Reginald Grahame Party to the forgoing Deed and Acknowledged the same to be his Act and Deed and that the Land Goods and Chattells and Book Debts &C.a therein mentioned ^are^ the Proper Right and Estate of the said Daniel Wolstenholme James Forbes and Stephen West their Heirs and Assigns According to the ^true^ intent and meaning thereof which said Acknowledgement was Made before us in Conformity to an Act of Assembly in such Cases made and Provided Jn.o Cooke David Craufurd Maryland Prince Georges County fs.t I Hereby Certifie to all to whom to may or Doth Concern that John Cooke and David Craufurd Gent before whom the within Acknowledgement LS was taken were at that time and still are two of his Lordships the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietarys Justices of the Peace for the County af.d Lawfully Authorised and Assigned To whom due faith and Credit is and ought to Given as as well in Justice Court as thereout In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Affixed the Publick Seal of the County af.d this twenty fourth day of February in the year of our Lord Christ One Thousand seven hundred and sixty five Joseph Sum Clk of Prince Georges County Recorded 4.th day of March 1765 14 Ex.d Know all Men by these Presents that I Perce Higgons Pilot in Delaware Bay for divers good Causes and Considerations me hereunto Moveing have made Ordained Authorized Nominated and appointed and by these Presents do nominate and appoint M.r Thomas Taylor Price of Port Royal on the Island of Jamaica my true and lawfull Attorney for me and in my Name and to my use to ask demand sue for and recover require and receive of and from Robert Newcomb Planter of Talbot County all such sum or sums of Money Goods Chattles and Effects whatsoever now due owing belonging or detained from me by the said Robert Newcomb and to have use and take all lawfull ways and means in my Name or otherwise for the recovery thereof by attachment arrest distress or otherwise and to Compound and Agree for the same and acquittances or other sufficient discharges for the same for me and in my Name to make seal and deliver and to do all other Lawfull Acts and things whatsoever Concerning the Premisses as fully in every Respect as I myself might or could do if I were personally presents And Attornies one or more under him for the purposes aforesaid to make and at his pleasure to revoke Ratifying and by these Presents allowing and holding for firm Effectual and Valid all and whatsoever my said Attorney shall in my Name lawfully do or Cause to be done in and about the Premisses by virtue of these Presents In Witness whereof I the said Perce Higgons have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this Twenty fourth day of January in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and sixty five Price Higgons seal Sealed and delivered in the presence of John Ross Elizebeth Ross W.m Price 3 Recorded 7.th day of 1765 |
